Muslim Savages Murder Again

BALI, Indonesia - Suicide bombers targeted the Indonesian resort of Bali with coordinated attacks that devastated three crowded restaurants, killing at least 25 people, a top anti-terrorism official said Sunday. He said two men linked to Bali's deadly 2002 nightclub bombings were suspected of masterminding Saturday's strikes. Maj. Gen. Ansyaad Mbai said the three attackers went into the packed restaurants on Saturday evening wearing explosive vests. The remains of their bodies were found at the scenes, he said. Mbai named two Malaysian fugitives — alleged to be key members of the al-Qaida linked Jemaah Islamiyah terror group and accused of orchestrating the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings that killed 202 people, most of them foreigners, and two others in the Indonesian capital in 2003 and 2004. The later attacks also involved suicide bombers.

Meanwhile in Iraq about 1,000 U.S. troops, backed by attack helicopters and warplanes, swept into a village near the Syrian border Saturday in an offensive aimed at rooting out al-Qaida militants and stemming violence ahead of a crucial vote on a new constitution. U.S. aircraft firing missiles struck houses and cars, sending palls of smoke into the sky as the forces moved into Sadah, according to residents contacted by The Associated Press. In the evening, Marines and insurgents clashed in the streets, they said. The U.S. military said al-Qaida in Iraq, the country's most fearsome militant group behind a wave of suicide bombings, had taken control of Sadah and that foreign fighters were using it as a way station as they enter from Syria to join the insurgency.

Two things I look forward to wrap this tragic day up - (1) Michael Moore says terrorism is not real - I hope he or his family member gets killed in next attack (and judging by these recent events we haven't seen the last of it) - I wonder if he would stand by his statement then; and (2) I hope U.S. Marines take no prisoners in the recent Iraq offensive.
