Arnold is still my hero

SAN FRANCISCO - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger refused to block the execution of Stanley Tookie Williams, rejecting the notion that the founder of the murderous Crips gang had atoned for his crimes and found redemption on death row.

You know...i would like to be the bigger person and make out a prayer for the soon to be executed Stanley "Tookie" Williams.

Too often conservatives try to pass themselves off as the astute religious types but their controversial hell-bound messages show true godless colours.

Mr Williams is a murderer and under the law deserved the strictest punishment. Most religions however preach a message of forgiveness and redemption. And while I think justice has been served to the victims...I also believe Tookie will die peacefully...knowing he has dispelled everything he hated about his former self.

Generally speaking I believe Tookie Williams is a success story of the true intentions of the U.S penal system. Here in Canada prisons are meant to act a rehabilitator as well as a deterrent. Mr. Williams became civil in jail....rejecting the hard core ganster life in exchange for a more peaceful and modest existence.

Even the California State prosecutor in this case applauded the work Tookie Williams did in jail. His point was that gang affiliation had nothing to do with the original case and thus should not have an effect on his clemency. And like the California State lawyer Tookie's books will continue to help guide kids in the right direction.
