Just Another Tuesday Morning in Baghdad ...

* In northern Iraq, a blast badly damaged a Sunni mosque where the father of Saddam Hussein is buried. The deposed leader's trial resumed in Baghdad with his defense team ending their month-long boycott of the proceedings.

* In the Baghdad violence, a man wearing an explosives belt blew himself up at a gas station in the eastern New Baghdad neighborhood, killing 23 people and injuring 51, said Interior Ministry official Maj. Falah al-Mohammedawi.

* A car bomb targeting a police patrol in the same neighborhood killed nine people and injured 17 — all civilians — said police Lt. Alu Abbas and medic Rahim al-Waedi.

* Another car bomb exploded near a Shiite mosque in the crowded southeastern Karada neighborhood, killing four people and injuring 16, said al-Mohammedawi.

Tanks on the Baghdad streets, are rooftop evacuations next?

An Iraqi looks at the bombed holy shrine of al-Hadi in the city of Samarra, north of Baghdad. Iraqi tanks deployed in Baghdad to pacify the city after an eruption of sectarian violence, but the bombing of a Sunni mosque shattered the relative calm.

Despite Michael Moore/ Democrat criticism, Saudis know how to deal with terrorists.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Saudi security forces on Monday shot dead five suspected terrorists believed to be involved in a foiled attack on the world's biggest oil processing complex, the Saudi Interior Ministry said. A sixth suspect was arrested. The shootings came after security forces raided two houses in the Saudi capital of Riyadh that had been under surveillance, said Lt. Gen. Mansour al-Turki, chief spokesman for the ministry. The suspects were killed during a shootout, the ministry said in a statement. "We think all the men involved had something to do with Abqaiq attempt," al-Turki said, referring to Friday's attempt by suicide bombers to detonate car bombs inside the world's biggest oil stabilization plant.
Earlier Monday, the Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya television quoted Saudi security sources as saying the forces exchanged fire with the suspected terrorists for about two hours. Police said they confiscated weapons and ammunition from the house in the suburb where the suspects had been holed up, according to the report. The Saudi branch of al-Qaida claimed responsibility for Friday's attack, the first ever on Saudi Arabia's vital oil infrastructure. The attack was foiled when security guards fired at two vehicles laden with explosives outside the gates to Abiqaiq, which processes about two-thirds of the country's oil before it is exported.

Prostitutes Against Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas!

The Grand Theft Auto franchise is getting attacked from all angles. Joining the ranks of politicians, policemen, and attorneys in their crusade to see the game lifted from shelves are the nation's sex workers. On its Web site, the Sex Workers Outreach Project USA is asking parents to assist them in calling for a ban of Take-Two Interactive's controversial game. Citing a 2001 document from the National Institute on Media and the Family's David Walsh, SWOP is calling "on all parents and all gamers to boycott Grand Theft Auto." The organization quotes various points from Walsh's paper, including, "Children are more likely to imitate a character with whom they identify with. In violent video games the player is often required to take the point of view of the shooter or perpetrator." Though the organization admits to being "adamantly opposed to any and all forms of censorship," as concerned parents themselves, they "wish to inform other parents of the potential danger extremely violent video games pose to children." Likewise, in the interest of promoting the rights of sex workers, the organization is opposed to the depiction of the rape and murder of prostitutes. In the games, players can solicit "services" from prostitutes by driving their cars slowly near them. No sexual acts are in clear visible view, but during the "transaction," the player regains health and loses money. Though the player cannot actively rape prostitutes in the game, a possible rape is alluded to once during the storyline of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The prostitutes, like every other character, are also subject to homicide at the hands of the protagonist. According to its Web site, SWOP USA is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of sex-industry workers and to the promotion of a safe working environment for the industry.

Department of Homeland Security protests towards Bush's ports deal from

WASHINGTON - The Homeland Security Department objected at first to a United Arab Emirates company's taking over significant operations at six U.S. ports. It was the lone protest among members of the government committee that eventually approved the deal without dissent. The department's early objections were settled later in the government's review of the $6.8 billion deal after Dubai-owned DP World agreed to a series of security restrictions. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and other congressional leaders, the company and Bush administration officials were working on a compromise intended to derail plans by Republicans and Democrats for legislation next week that would force a new investigation of security issues relating to the deal. Talks were to continue through the weekend. "My comfort level is good, but I have 99 other United States senators who need the opportunity to ask their questions," Frist told the Lexington Herald-Leader before speaking at a Republican dinner Saturday evening in Lexington, Ky.

Interior Minister Bayan Jabr made the announcement during a press conference Saturday broadcast live by government television. The announcement came on athesecond straight day of a daylight curfew in Baghdad and three surrounding provinces. Only the rich pay taxes, Liberals! Numbers Liberals Don't Want You to Know!

*Data covers calendar year 2003, not fiscal year 2003 - and includes all income, not just wages, excluding Social Security

This is the latest data for calendar year 2003 just released in October 2005 by the Internal Revenue Service. The share of total income taxes paid by the top 1% of wage earners rose to 34.27% from 33.71% in 2002. Their income share (not just wages) rose from 16.12% to 16.77%. However, their average tax rate actually dropped from 27.25% down to 24.31%.

The top 1% pay over a third, 34.27% of all income taxes. (Up from 2003: 33.71%) The top 5% pay 54.36% of all income taxes (Up from 2002: 53.80%). The top 10% pay 65.84% (Up from 2002: 65.73%). The top 25% pay 83.88% (Down from 2002: 83.90%). The top 50% pay 96.54% (Up from 2002: 96.50%). The bottom 50%? They pay a paltry 3.46% of all income taxes (Down from 2002: 3.50%). The top 1% is paying nearly ten times the federal income taxes than the bottom 50%! And who earns what? The top 1% earns 16.77% of all income (2002: 16.12%). The top 5% earns 31.18% of all the income (2002: 30.55%). The top 10% earns 42.36% of all the income (2002: 41.77%); the top 25% earns 64.86% of all the income (2002: 64.37%) , and the top 50% earns 86.01% (2002: 85.77%) of all the income!

So judeo-Bolshevik libtards, president's tax cut MUST be permanent, because you don't even pay taxes you cowards - only want handouts !

Nigerian Rebels Show Off Hostages

Nigerian separatist militants showed one of nine foreign hostages, Texan Macon Hawkins (L) 24 February 2006, to reporters and vowed the oil workers would not be released until the military pulls out of the Niger Delta.

And where is UN in all this?

Great Victory! All abortions banned in South Dakota

PIERRE, S.D. - The Legislature on Friday approved a ban on nearly all abortions in South Dakota, setting up a direct legal assault on Roe v. Wade. Republican Gov. Mike Rounds said he was inclined to sign the bill, which would make it a crime for doctors to perform an abortion unless it was necessary to save the woman's life. The measure would make no exception in cases of rape or incest.

That's right libtards, your baby-killing days are almost over!
South Dakota today, continental United States and Canada tomorrow!

Planet's Population to Hit 6.5 Billion Saturday

A population milestone is about to be set on this jam-packed planet. On Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7:16 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, the population here on this good Earth is projected to hit 6.5 billion people. Along with this forecast, an analysis by the International Programs Center at the U.S. Census Bureau points to another factoid, Robert Bernstein of the Bureau's Public Information Center advised LiveScience. Mark this on your calendar: Some six years from now, on Oct. 18, 2012 at 4:36 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, the Earth will be home to 7 billion folks.
A report issued by the Bureau in March 2004 noted that world population hit the 6-billion mark in June 1999. "This figure is over 3.5 times the size of the Earth's population at the beginning of the 20th century and roughly double its size in 1960," the study explained. Even more striking is that the time required for the global population to grow from 5 billion to 6 billion—just a dozen years—was shorter than the interval between any of the previous billions. On average, 4.4 people are born every second.

Is Iraq sliding towards sectarian civil war?

Judge yourselves, this is just from today's newswires, all this in one day (23/02/2006), see if you can even keep track of casualties:

* One policeman was killed and four wounded by a road side bomb in Iskandariya, south of Baghdad, police said.

* Three Task Force Band of Brothers Soldiers from the 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division were killed when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device northeast of Balad Feb. 23

* Fighting broke out Thursday afternoon in Mahmoudiya, south of Baghdad, between al-Sadr's Mahdi Army militia and Sunni militiamen. Two civilians were killed and five militiamen were injured, police Capt. Rashid al-Samaraie said.

* Four Soldiers from 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division were killed near Hawijah Feb. 23 when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device.

* Basra death toll of 25 included up to 11 Sunni rebel suspects hauled from a prison overnight by men in police uniform and left shot dead around the mainly Shi'ite southern city.

* At least 46 bodies were found scattered across Iraq late Wednesday and early Thursday, many of them shot execution-style and dumped in Shiite-dominated parts of the capital, Baghdad.

* A pushcart bomb blew up near an Iraqi army foot patrol in a popular market in Baquba on Thursday, killing 16 people, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua--including eight soldiers

* Five Iraqis attempting to enter conflict-ridden Samarra, 110 kilometers north of Baghdad, were killed by a US army patrol on Thursday after a security cordon was placed on the city.

* The hardline Sunni clerical Association of Muslim Scholars said 168 Sunni mosques were attacked, 10 imams killed and 15 abducted. The figures could not be independently confirmed.

and list goes on, problem is someone from outside *ahem* Iran * is instigating a civil war between Shi'ites and Sunnis, and liberal media, by only covering the negative developments only fuels; especially the bombing of Golden Dome mosque could not have been an inside job - this is getting serious, and any withdrawal of our forces now will lead to a complete disaster.

Muslims killing Christian children over Muhammed Cartoon

LAGOS, Nigeria - Bodies littered the streets of the southern Nigerian city of Onitsha on Wednesday as the death toll from days of Christian-Muslim violence across Nigeria rose to at least 93. "I've counted more than 20 people killed today," said Onitsha resident Isotonu Achor after gangs of rioters armed with machetes and shotguns poured through the mainly Christian city."Major streets are littered with bodies of people killed today, most of them northerners," Achor said. Other witnesses also said they saw at least 20 dead. Residents said soldiers had opened fire on a mob of ethnic Igbo Christians that tried to enter the military barracks after reports ethnic Hausa Muslims sheltering in the barracks had attacked a nearby primary school, killing a number of children.

Well, well, well - brave defenders of Islam preying on defenseless chidlren and civilians again - does that sound all too familiar by now? I think it does. Oh, and where is UN in all this? Probably too busy stealing money

Feb. 22, 2006 - Get Rich Quick Day

Just like the eight lucky lottery winners in U.S., someone got very luck in Great Britain as armed gang has stolen up to £40m from a security depot in Kent, police have revealed. It is thought to be the biggest ever armed robbery in Britain. The thieves posed as police to abduct the manager of the Securitas depot in Tonbridge and his family.
The manager was taken to the Vale Road security depot at around 1am, Kent Police said. t least six men, some armed with handguns, then threatened and tied up around 15 members of staff.
The gang loaded a substantial amount of cash into a white lorry before driving off at about 2.15am. Police were alerted about an hour later when the staff activated an alarm. No one was hurt in the robbery.

Another crackdown on p2p sharing

LONDON (Reuters) - Swiss and Belgian police have shut down a major component of the eDonkey file-sharing network, used mainly to trade copies of copyrighted movies and music, the Motion Picture Association said on Wednesday. Razorback 2 was the biggest server on the eDonkey peer-to-peer (P2P) network, which transfers data from user to user. Music companies have blamed P2P piracy for causing a drastic downturn in sales, and Hollywood is trying to prevent a similar impact on the movie business. "Swiss authorities arrested the site's operator at his residence in Switzerland this morning and searched his home," the MPA said in a statement. "At the same time, on the authority of a local magistrate, Belgian police seized the site's servers located at an Internet hosting center in Zaventem near Brussels." As of last year, eDonkey was estimated to have up to 3 million users spread over 100 to 200 servers. Razorback2 was the most popular server, used by about 1 million users. While the music and movie industry have had a string of successes in their fight against online piracy in the last year, raiding P2P servers and winning judgements in court, in many cases users merely migrate to a different network - a pattern than has happened many times since the original Napster service was shut down.

Debate over liberal lies about "gay gene" continue

TUESDAY, Feb. 21 (HealthDay News) -- New research adds a twist to the debate on the origins of sexual orientation, suggesting that the genetics of mothers of multiple gay sons act differently than those of other women. Scientists found that almost one fourth of the mothers who had more than one gay son processed X chromosomes in their bodies in the same way. Normally, women randomly process the chromosomes in one of two ways -- half go one way, half go the other. The research "confirms that there is a strong genetic basis for sexual orientation, and that for some gay men, genes on the X chromosome are involved," said study co-author Sven Bocklandt, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California at Los Angeles. The link between genetics and sexual orientation has been a hot topic for more than a decade as a few scientists have tried to find genes that might make people gay or straight. In the new study, Bocklandt and colleagues examined a phenomenon called "X-chromosome inactivation."

Gay gene is a liberal myth, just like effects of global warming, or peaceful muslims - what's this debate about? Liberal judeo-bolshevik New England academia and Liberal Brokeback Hollywood would try to keep pushing that garbage into everyone's throats no matter what - these people will never concede to anything, but SHH!, don't burden liberal with facts - sensitivity as far more important to them than reality.

Fans threaten to boycott James Bond franchise

NEW YORK - They're shaken, stirred and just plain angry. And several months late with their response. A group of James Bond fans have launched a Web site, http://www.craignotbond.com protesting British actor Daniel Craig replacing Pierce Brosnan in the 007 film franchise, and boycott the upcoming Bond movie "Casino Royale." The fair-haired Craig, whose recent screen credits include "Munich" and "The Jacket," was tapped last October to play the secret-agent icon. "EON Productions angered fans around the world when they fired Pierce Brosnan at the height of his popularity as Bond," said a statement on the site. "To add insult to injury, EON cast a short, blond, odd-looking Daniel Craig in the role of Bond."

Finally, people begin to get it! I completely agree here .... check out the website, it's pretty good.

"Naturalized" U.S. citizens nabbed in terror plot against U.S.!

CLEVELAND - A federal grand jury indicted three Ohio men on terrorism charges alleging they planned attacks to kill U.S. and coalition military personnel in Iraq and other countries. One of the men, a citizen of both the U.S. and Jordan, is also accused of threatening to kill or injure President Bush, according to the indictment released Tuesday.
All three were arrested over the weekend and were to be arraigned in federal courts in Cleveland and Toledo on Tuesday afternoon, said Assistant U.S. Attorney David Bauer. The indictment does not specify if any attacks were imminent but says the suspects recruited others as early as November 2004 to train for a violent holy war against the United States and its allies in Iraq.
Two of the men discussed plans to practice setting off explosives on July 4, 2005, so that the bombs would not be noticed, the indictment alleges. It's not clear if the suspects went through with those plans.
The indictment says the group also traveled together to a shooting range to practice shooting guns and studied how to make explosives.
It also alleges that at least one of the men researched and solicited funding for the training, including getting unspecified government grants and private sponsors. The indictment does not say which government or name any potential sponsors. Mohammad Zaki Amawi is accused of twice threatening in conversations to kill or injure Bush. He also is charged with distributing information about the making and use of an explosive device. The others are Marwan Othman El-Hindi, a U.S. citizen born in Jordan; and Wassim I. Mazloum, who came to the U.S. from Lebanon in 2000, Mazloum operated a car business in Toledo with his brother. The indictment accuses him of offering to use his dealership as a cover for traveling to and from Iraq so that he could learn how to build small explosives using household materials.
El-Hindi is accused of trying to get a U.S. citizen with a military background to travel with him in November 2004 to the Middle East as part of the suspects' plan to establish a terrorism training center. The indictment does not identify the military person, referring to him or her throughout the document as "the trainer." The FBI and the U.S. Justice Department planned separate news conferences Tuesday afternoon to discuss the case. Neither would comment before then.

PortGate - Bush faces pressure over ports sale to Saudis

WASHINGTON (AP) - Two Republican governors are threatening legal action to block an Arab company from taking over operations in major U.S. ports and some GOP lawmakers say the deal should be closely examined. In the uneasy climate after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the Bush administration decision to allow the transaction is threatening to develop a major political headache for the White House. New York Gov. George Pataki and Maryland Gov. Robert Ehrlich on Monday voiced doubts about the acquisition of a British company that has been running six U.S. ports by Dubai Ports World, a state-owned business in the United Arab Emirates. The British company, Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co., runs major commercial operations at ports in Baltimore, Miami, New Jersey, New Orleans, New York and Philadelphia.
Now, this is a rather sensitive situation, got me thinking about the film "Sum of All Fears", for once I would actually have to support the criticism of Bush administration over this, we can't have these people buying our ports

New Face of Hamas - who is Ismail Haniya

Ismail Haniya (born 1962) (Arabic: إسماعيل هنية) is a senior political leader of Hamas. He is considered to be among the movement's most moderate leaders. He was selected on February 16, 2006 as the new Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority following the Hamas "List of Change and Reform" victory in the Palestinian legislative election of January 25, 2006. Haniya was voted (before the election, by Hamas) to the top of the list of candidates for the movement and was therefore the leading contender for the position of prime minister, succeeding Ahmed Qurei.
Haniya was born in the Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza, in 1962. His parents became refugees after they fled their homes in what is now the city of Ashkelon in Israel during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. In 1987, he graduated from the Islamic University of Gaza with a degree in Arabic literature. In 1989, he was incarcerated for three years by Israeli authorities without charge, and following his release in 1992, he was expelled to Lebanon. A year later, he returned to Gaza and was appointed as Dean of the Islamic University.
After the release from prison in 1997 of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Hamas' spiritual leader, Haniya was appointed to head his office. In September 2003, he was slightly injured on his hand by an Israeli Air Force bomb attack attempting to eliminate the Hamas leadership. His position within Hamas continued to strengthen during the Al-Aqsa Intifada due to his relationship with Yassin, and because of the assassination of much of the Hamas leadership by the Israeli Security Forces. In December 2005, Haniya was elected to head the Hamas list, which in January 2006 won the Palestinian Legislative Council elections.
Israel decided to implement a series of punitive measures against the PA after the Hamas election victory but Haniya dismissed the effect of Israeli financial restrictions on the Palestinian Authority (PA) stating that Hamas would not disarm or recognise Israel. Haniya said that he regretted that Israel had labeled Hamas a terrorist group, adding that "it should have responded differently to the democracy expressed by the Palestinian people". Regarding the withholding of foreign aid, he said: "The West is always using its donations to apply pressure on the Palestinian people."

Biggest doping scandal of 2006 Torino is Austria!?

As Austria surpassed Russia and USA in medal count points getting second-most behind Germany - the biggest scandal of Olympics can be brewing as more than 100 syringes, 30 packs of drugs as well as devices for transfusions and testing had been seized in the raid on the biathlon and cross-country teams, the official said. The Austrian team said later that all the drugs and medical equipment collected was legitimate. The International Olympic Committee are still examining the samples they took from 15 Austrian athletes the same night, IOC President Jacques Rogge told Austrian television.Yet the biathlon and cross-country skiing coach, whose presence in Italy had put the Austrians in such unwanted limelight when their bases were raided by police looking for drugs over the weekend, still haunted the team even though he had returned home.
Walter Mayer's admission to an Austrian psychiatric hospital was the latest almost surreal twist to a drama which has included a night-time drugs raid by police, a car crash, an arrest and two Austrian athletes disappearing into the night. "Walter Mayer is in the psychiatric hospital, unfortunately. He's in custody to protect himself because apparently he's said he wanted to commit suicide or something like that. I couldn't talk to him myself," Austrian Ski Federation president Peter Schroecksnadel told state radio ORF. Mayer is banned from the Games over his involvement in a blood doping scandal at the Salt Lake City Games in 2002. He was not found during the raid. On Sunday he crashed into an Austrian police roadblock after refusing a breath test for alcohol. He has been charged with civil disorder, an Austrian prosecutor said, and was sacked by the Austrian ski federation.

Unbelievable ....

Bin Laden Will Not Be Caputred Alive!

... or so he says

CAIRO, Egypt - Osama bin Laden vowed never to be captured alive and said the U.S. military had become as "barbaric" as Saddam Hussein in an audiotape reposted on a militant Islamic Web site after first being broadcast last month. In the tape posted to the Web site Monday, bin Laden offered the United States a long-term truce but also said his al-Qaida terror network would soon launch a fresh attack on American soil. The tape was initially broadcast Jan. 19 on Al-Jazeera, the pan-Arab satellite channel. Islamic militant Web forums often repost messages from al-Qaida leaders to ensure sympathizers can see them. U.S. intelligence officials confirmed that last month's tape was of bin Laden — making it his first message in more than a year.
"I have sworn to only live free. Even if I find bitter the taste of death, I don't want to die humiliated or deceived," bin Laden said, in the 11-minute, 26-second tape.

What a clown this guy is, just like the rest of Islamic Fundies, I can't believe some liberals actually wanted to negotiate anything with these people.

Sunday Night Olympic Slipfest pictures

Allow me to derivate from political rhetoric for a second, as fiesta time on ice turned into an Torino 2006 Olympic fallfest. With three of the final five couples taking spills, including local favorites Barbara Fusar Poli and Maurizio Margaglio of Italy, two-time world champions Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov of Russia surged into the lead in ice dancing Sunday night.
Their cha cha, rhumba and samba — and ability to stay upright — put them 1.38 points in front of Americans Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto heading into Monday night's free dance. FUNNY STUFF, that's after Canadian Men Hockey team got beaten by Swiss and Fins ... Odd

Islamic Muhammed Cartoon Insanity Continues

JAKARTA, Indonesia - Hundreds of Muslims protesting caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad tried to storm the U.S. Embassy on Sunday, smashing the windows of a guard post but failing to push through the gates. Several people were injured.
Pakistani security forces, meanwhile, sealed off the capital of Islamabad to block a planned mass demonstration and fired tear gas and gunshots to chase off protesters. In Turkey, tens of thousands gathered in Istanbul chanting slogans against Denmark, Israel and the United States.
Protests over the cartoons, which first appeared in a Danish newspaper in September and have been republished in other European publications and elsewhere, have swept across the Muslim world, growing into mass outlets for rage against the West in general, and Israel and the United States in particular.
Christians also have become targets. Pakistani Muslims protesting in the southern city of Sukkur ransacked and burned a church Sunday after hearing accusations that a Christian man had burned pages of the Quran, Islam's holy book.
That incident came a day after Muslims protesting in the Nigerian city of Maiduguri attacked Christians and burned 15 churches in a three-hour rampage that killed at least 15 people. Some 30 other people have died during protests over the cartoons that erupted about three weeks ago

Muhammed Cartoon Chronicles - Feb. 18, 2006

* Rioting in Nigeria left at least 16 people dead, as police moved to disperse demonstrators caught up in the unabated furore over the publication of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed, witnesses and police said. The protesters in the northern city of Maiduguri turned on the Christian minority, burning churches and shops, as army troops and police reinforcements were deployed to restore order, police spokesman Deputy Commissioner Haz Iwendi told AFP.

* A similar protest in the city of Katsina also turned ugly, and one rioter was shot dead by police as marchers pelted officers with stones.

* The Nigerian violence followed Friday's clashes in Libya, in which police killed 11 anti-Italian demonstrators, protesting the "provocative and outrageous" anti-Islamic insults of Italy's Reform Minister Roberto Calderoli. Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi moved to restore damaged ties with Islamic nations, belatedly forcing Calderoli's resignation for provoking the deadly clashes in Libya by wearing T-shirts lampooning the Prophet Mohammed.
An embarrassed Berlusconi said he hoped the resignation would "avoid acts of retaliation against our businesses and against our soldiers abroad."Calderoli, a 49-year-old strongman of the fiercely anti-immigrant Northern League party, sparked outrage when he announced this week he was having T-Shirts printed with the controversial drawings of the Prophed Mohammed first published in a Danish newspaper.

* Peaceful demonstrations also took place in several European countries with at least 10,000 protestors marching in London.

Liberal Ass Bandits, however, still fail to realize we are in war against global Islamic fundamentalism.

Alec Baldwin is Insane

" ... So, I suppose the question is...what kind of civil trial will we see, or not see, between Cheney and Whittington? Whittington is certainly no stranger to a court room and to civil litigation. Will Cheney pay him off, preemptively? Will they go to court? I would imagine if a guy with a few beers in him shoots you in the face on a hunting trip, how could you turn down that opportunity?
What would Cheney do about the whole secrecy thing then? I mean, this is the guy that sicced Enron on Gray Davis and the state of California to embarrass Davis, trigger the recall and then watched Arnold Schwarzenegger become governor of California. (To this day, perhaps, still the low point in American political life.) Then Cheney covered it up. Cheney's the guy who told Libby to out Valerie Plame. The rumor I heard is that someone yelled, "Look out! Shooter!" and Cheney thought he said Scooter and fired in that general direction.Cheney is a terrorist. He terrorizes our enemies abroad and innocent citizens here at home indiscriminately. Who ever thought Harry Whittington would be the answer to America's prayers. Finally, someone who might get that lying, thieving Cheney into a courtroom to answer some direct questions."

- Alex Bladwin, Huffington Post, Feb. 17, 2006.

... Mr. Baldwin needs to be committed to mental institution.

Free Prostitutes in Amsterdam for 1 DAY, GET ME A TICKET!

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - There may be no such thing as a free lunch, but occasionally there's a cheap feast for the eyes. Several topless bars, peep shows and sex show clubs in Amsterdam's famed "Red Light" prostitution district have declared an open house on Feb. 18, hoping to shore up their reputation with local politicians who are calling for a crackdown.
"You can come in, have a free drink, look around," said Bob de Maan, spokesman for the "Banana Bar," which is known for its live sex shows. "People think that this is something dirty, but now — it's an open house. They can see for themselves." Prostitution in Amsterdam boomed during the city's 17th century Golden Age, when prostitutes catered to sailors on shore leave.

Muslims killing each other over Muhammed cartoon

TRIPOLI, Libya - Libyans angry over caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad rioted at the Italian consulate on Friday, storming the building and setting it on fire. A diplomat said at least 10 people were killed in clashes with police.
It was the deadliest demonstration yet against the cartoons, which have set off violent protests throughout the Muslim world. At least 29 people have been killed altogether.

Islamic Cleric calls for murder of a Muhammed cartoonist

PESHAWAR, Pakistan - A Pakistani cleric on Friday announced a $1 million bounty for killing a cartoonist who drew Prophet Muhammad, as thousands joined street rallies across the country and authorities arrested scores of protesters. Police put another Islamist leader under house detention amid fears that the demonstrations held after Friday prayers would turn violent, after riots this week killed five people, but most protests passed off peacefully. Denmark announced it had temporarily closed its embassy in Pakistan after a week of riots in which Western businesses were targeted. The country also advised against all travel to Pakistan and urged Danes still in the country to leave. Denmark has already temporarily closed its embassies in Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Indonesia after anti-Danish protests and threats against staff.

Well - this is of no surprise, coming from evil ideology of fundamentalist Islam - with which the entire world is in war against, but I am curious would liberal ass bandits try to somehow justify this as well ...

United Nations is a Useless Organization

GENEVA - The United States should shut down the prison for terror suspects at Guantanamo Bay and either release all detainees being held there or bring them to trial, the United Nations said in a report released Thursday. The report, summarizing an investigation by five U.N. experts, called on the U.S. government "to close down the Guantanamo Bay detention center and to refrain from any practice amounting to torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment."

Oh Yeah?!

And what would you like us to do with the terrorists detainees from there - send them to Europe perhaps? Obviously UN didn't learn or didn't have enough of Madrid and London bombings or Paris rioting. Point is, corrupt United Nations, failing in so many places (i.e. Rwanda, Darfur now - these girly UN men can't do anything about rape and murder by Arab savages in Darfur) should not be lecturing anyone on methods of keeping this world save. If they care so much about human rights - how about condemning torture rooms for political dissidents and "thought criminals" in commie China and North Korea?! I, personally, think that UN is a superfluous organization in a post-Cold War and post-9/11 world - just like League of Nations before WW2, United Nations is not only failing to help - it begins to get in the way of global war against Islamic fundamentalism - and president Bush had clearly said that you are either with us, or you are with the terrorists. Pick a side UN; maybe we should cut ALL U.N. funding and let liberal idiots like John Kerry fund it from their own pocket.

Batman to Woop Islamic Fundie Ass

NEW YORK (AFP) - Bored with pitting his wits against the Joker and the Riddler, Batman is setting his sights on a more challenging target - Osama bin Laden! "Holy Terror, Batman!" an upcoming graphic novel from famed Batman writer Frank Miller, sees the caped crusader facing off against Al-Qaeda operatives who attack Gotham City. Miller, who has already inked his way through 120 pages of the 200-page opus, told a recent comic book convention that the novel was an unashamed "piece of propaganda" in which Batman "kicks Al-Qaeda's ass." The driving force behind the work, Miller said, was "an explosion from my gut reaction of what's happening now." Holy Terror is "a reminder to people who seem to have forgotten who we're up against," he said in remarks posted on the entertainment website, IGN.com. A 20-year comic book veteran, Miller became one of the best known names in the industry with the graphic novel "Dark Knight Returns," in which he brought Batman out of retirement. He was also the creator of the graphic novel series "Sin City," which was turned into a hit movie of the same name last year directed by Miller, Robert Rodriguez, and Quentin Tarantino. Miller said the use of comic book heroes for propaganda had an honourable tradition.
"Superman punched out Hitler. So did Captain America. That's one of the things they're there for," he said. "These are our folk heroes," he added. "It just seems silly to chase around the Riddler when you've got Al-Qaeda out there." No date has been set for the release of "Holy Terror, Batman!"
I hope they draw Prophet Muhammed in the graphic novel too, it will give it more edge! HAHA

Oh jesus, Arab World is now outraged at terrorist's feelings being hurt as more Abu Ghraib pictures were released by Australian news station today, while they are still outraged at a freakin cartoon!, over which about 15 people died already

SO, YES, I COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT THESE FUNDAMENTALIST IDIOT'S FEELINGS, there, that's enough of that

SADDAM WMDs AUDIO TAPES UNCOVERED!

Reportedly armed with 12 hours of Saddam Hussein's audio recordings, the organizers of an upcoming "Intelligence Summit" are describing the tapes as the "smoking gun evidence" that the Iraqi dictator possessed weapons of mass destruction in the period leading up to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. The U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, which according to the New York Sun has already authenticated the Saddam tapes, has reopened its investigation into the possible existence and location of the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction (WMD). But some long-time liberal skeptics are showing no inclination to change their minds. In the months leading up to the invasion of Iraq on March 19, 2003, the Bush administration argued that the war was necessary as a preemptive strike because the Iraqi president had WMD and there was a danger that he would use them against the United States. On Oct. 6, 2004, Charles Duelfer, advisor to the director of Central Intelligence on Iraqi weapons, told the Senate Armed Services Committee that Saddam did not have WMD at the time of the invasion and that the weapons were likely destroyed following the first Persian Gulf War in 1991. On Jan. 12, 2005, the U.S. announced that is was stopping its search for the weapons in Iraq. But a four-day Intelligence Summit, to be held Feb. 17-20 in Arlington, Va., is re-igniting the debate over the Iraqi WMD. The featured discussion, on Saturday, Feb. 18, is titled: "Saddam's WMD Tapes: 'The Smoking Gun' Evidence." The agenda for the event indicates that the person who will speak about the tapes is at this point "anonymous." The New York Sun on Feb. 7 reported that Rep. Peter Hoekstra's (R-Mich.) committee had obtained the audio tapes from former federal prosecutor John Loftus. According to the report, Loftus received the tapes "from a former American military intelligence analyst." Loftus is president of the Intelligence Summit, which is a yearly gathering of experts in the fields of counter-terrorism and intelligence gathering. Jodie Evans of the anti-war group Code Pink, however, told Cybercast News Service that she does not think the Saddam recordings will lead to any new information. The government, according to Evans, has "said a lot of things for a long time." "There's a difference between what they've been saying and what's real, and when they find something real, I'll comment." Danny Schechter, author and producer of the film version of "Embedded: Weapons of Mass Deception," said he is "weary of these intercepts.""Nobody denies that Saddam Hussein did have a WMD program. The United States knows that, we have the receipts, we supplied some of the initial technology," Schechter said. But the weapons were destroyed in 1991, after the first Gulf War, he asserted. "The question is not, did he have a program, but did that program represent a threat to the United States, to England, or to anywhere else," Schechter said. "I would be hesitant about raw intelligence that has not been analyzed, but that is being used in a partisan way by members of Congress," he told Cybercast News Service."Saddam Hussein is probably one of the most demonized world leaders, with Dick Cheney a close second," Schechter added. Saddam is currently on trial in Iraq for ordering the killings of more than 140 Shiite Muslims in 1982. One of his former military advisors and top generals, Georges Sada, has written a book titled: "Saddam's Secrets: How an Iraqi General Defied and Survived Saddam Hussein."Sada, who is a national security adviser in Iraq's new government, alleges that in June 2002 Saddam transported weapons of mass destruction out of Iraq and into Syria aboard several refitted commercial jets, under the pretense of conducting a humanitarian mission for flood victims. A Feb. 2 Cybercast News Service article quoted Jamal Ware, the communications director for Rep. Hoekstra as saying that "the chairman has read General Sada's book ... He will meet with General Sada to hear first-hand him laying out the case that this transferal may have happened." The New York Sun article from Feb. 7 indicated that Sada has since met with Hoekstra to talk about the issue.

IF THIS PROVES TO BE TRUE, I AM DECLARING FATWA ON LIBERALISM AND LIBERALS! (he, he)
Honestly though, if this is the case - liberals were lying all this time, spewing their filthy anti-American, pro-Islamic fundie propaganda about WMD, this pundit and many other true Americans always knew, however, that Iraq was and is a battlefront in the global war against Islamic terrorism.

8 Y.O. Killed Over Muhammed Cartoon

PESHAWAR, Pakistan - Gunfire and rioting erupted Wednesday as tens of thousands of people took to the streets in several Pakistani cities during the country's third consecutive day of violent protests over the Prophet Muhammad cartoons. Three people were killed, including an 8-year-old boy. More than 70,000 people flooded the streets of the northwestern city of Peshawar, said Saeed Wazir, a senior police officer. The massive crowd went on a rampage, torching businesses and fighting police, who struck back with tear gas and batons. A bus terminal operated by Korea's Sammi Corp. was torched, police said. Protesters burned a KFC restaurant, three movie theaters and the offices of the main mobile phone company in the country. A Norwegian mobile phone company's offices were also ransacked. Gunfire was heard near the burning KFC, as police tried to clear people from a main street, witnesses said.
An 8-year-old boy died after being struck in the face by a bullet fired by a protester, police officer Shahid Khan said. A 25-year-old man was killed by an electric cable that was snapped by gunfire, said the man's cousin, Jehangir Khan. At least 45 people were being treated for injuries in Peshawar's two state-run hospitals, Khan and witnesses said. Paramilitary forces were deployed, and the government announced that schools and colleges would be closed in northwestern Pakistan for one week to protect students from violence. Authorities also announced a ban on rallies in eastern Pakistan for an indefinite period. Most shops, public transport and other businesses were also closed. Demonstrations around Asia and the Middle East over the cartoons — which first appeared in a Danish newspaper in September and have been reprinted by other Western newspapers — have subsided in recent days, including in
Afghanistan, where 11 people died in riots last week.

Coming Soon: Film About Gay Muslims, Oh Boy

Sandi Dubowski, who won the Teddy gay and lesbian award in 2001 for his controversial doc "Trembling Before G-d," may cause an even bigger stir with "In the Name of Allah," which explores the struggles of homosexual Muslims. Gay Indian Muslim helmer Parvez Sharma is directing the pic, which looks at gay, lesbian, and transgender Muslims across the Muslim and Western worlds. "The world right now needs to understand Islam, and these are the most unlikely storytellers of Islam," Dubowski said, who is producing 'Allah.' Doc will undoubtedly prove an even thornier film to export than "Trembling." Sharma and Dubowski plan to submit the pic to all major festivals in the Muslim world as well as in the West, but if it's rejected, Dubowski said, "We'll find ways of screening it in every Muslim nation, even if it's underground."
Dubowski already faced problems with the international release of "Trembling Before G-d." Pic faced protests and bans in South Africa, Mexico and Baltimore. But Dubowski has managed to open doors in the Hasidic and Orthodox communities in Israel, U.S. and U.K. and has toured the world over the past five years doing 800 live events with diverse religious and secular groups.

If the backlash we are seeing was caused by a cartoon - imagine the backlash at that .... this just keeps getting better and better

Katrina "Victims" Used Tax Payer's Money for Porn

FEBRUARY 14--Some victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita used federal assistance money to pay for "adult erotica," a pistol, strip club fees, and at least one $450 tattoo, according to a new government audit. A Government Accountability Office review of weaknesses in the Federal Emergency Management Agency's distribution of aid describes some of the abuse connected with FEMA's dispensing of $2000 debit cards. While most of the February 13 GAO report addresses the use of multiple social security numbers to secure unwarranted handouts, auditors also examined where some of those funds were expended. An excerpt from the federal audit can be found below. (2 pages)

Provocations Over Muhammed Cartoon Spark Islamic Assault on the West in Pakistan

LAHORE, Pakistan - Thousands of protesters rampaged through two cities Tuesday, storming into a diplomatic district and torching Western businesses and a provincial assembly in Pakistan's worst violence against the Prophet Muhammad drawings, officials said. At least two people were killed and 11 injured. Security forces fired into the air as they struggled to contain the unrest in the eastern city of Lahore, where protesters burned down four buildings housing a hotel, two banks, a KFC restaurant and the office of a Norwegian cell phone company, Telenor.
U.S. and British embassy staffers were confined to their compounds until police dispersed the protesters, some of whom chanted, "Death to America!" Witnesses said rioters also damaged more than 200 cars, dozens of shops and a large portrait of President Gen. Pervez Musharraf. Vandals broke the windows of a Holiday Inn, Pizza Hut and McDonald's. Two movie theaters were torched, and clouds of tear gas and black smoke from burning vehicles drifted through streets in the city center. A security guard shot and killed two protesters trying to force their way into a bank, Interior Minister Aftab Khan Sherpao said, adding that paramilitary forces were deployed to restore order.
Mohammed Tariq, a doctor at the state-run Mayo Hospital, said three people were being treated for serious bullet wounds, and eight more suffered injuries during clashes with police.
The protest was organized by a little-known religious group supported by local trade associations and one of the main Islamic schools in the city. Intelligence officials, however, suspected that members of outlawed Islamic radical groups may have incited the violence.
Raja Mohammed Basharat, law minister for Punjab province, of which Lahore is the capital, said the organizers promised Monday that the demonstration would be peaceful. No one has been arrested for the violence, but those responsible would be punished, he said. The unrest began Tuesday in the nation's capital, Islamabad, about 180 miles northwest of Lahore, when between 1,000 and 1,500 people, mostly students, marched into a fenced-off diplomatic enclave through the main gate, as about a dozen police looked on.

If anyone still had any doubt that all this "Muhammed cartoon outrage in Islamic world" is well organized anti-American campaign by the terrorist groups and government that support them - this is a definitive proof; of course liberal heart bleeds for "Death to America!" types, all I can say is that president G.W. Bush was correct when he pointed out that in the global war against Islamic fundamentalism, you are either with us or you are with the terrorists - TIME TO PICK A SIDE LIBERALS!

Target Iran: Feb. 13th Updates

Americans are nervous about the prospect of a nuclear-armed Iran, but also worry about the ability of the United States and the United Nations to deal with the situation, a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll suggests.
Just more proof that liberal spirit of defeatism that they learned from French is still prevalent in American culture, but liberalism is on its death bed - and we will prevail.

Turks Cheer Death of U.S. Soldiers ...

ISTANBUL The crowd cheered, clapped and whistled as the Turkish agent plunged the knife into the chest of the enemy commander.
"Valley of the Wolves - Iraq," which opened last week in movie theaters in Turkey, Austria and Germany, is a Rambo-like action story involving, in this case, Turkish gunmen who seek revenge against a tyrannical occupying army. But in this version, the most expensive movie ever made in Turkey, the enemy is no oppressive third-world dictatorship. The commander's name is "Sam" - as in Uncle - and the opposing forces are Americans, who are being punished for offenses against Turkish as well as Iraqi pride and honor. Sam William Marshall, played by Billy Zane, is portrayed as a sociopath, killing people without a second thought and claiming that he is doing God's will, a thinly veiled reference to statements by President George W. Bush about America's "crusade" for democracy in Iraq and the Middle East. Indeed, while fictional, some of the movie is based on real events. The opening sequence portrays an incident that made headlines in 2003, when a group of Turkish special forces soldiers in Iraq was taken into custody by American marines. The Turks, mistaken for insurgents, were handcuffed and held with hoods over their heads. The incident angered many Turks. Other scenes show ruthless marines killing Iraqis and soldiers mistreating inmates at Abu Ghraib prison. A Jewish-American doctor, played by Gary Busey, is shown as shipping inmates' organs to New York, London and Israel. All these, according to the screenwriter, Bahadir Ozdener, were inspired by real events. Zane said he was not bothered by the movie's anti-American tone, adding that the horrors of war should be exposed. "I acted in this movie because I'm a pacifist," he said in a televised interview. "I'm against all kinds of war." Whatever its artistic merits, the movie, which has already broken Turkish box office records, has highlighted a growing discrepancy in how America is seen in Turkey. Officially, the two governments have been enjoying much-improved relations after a low point in 2003, when Turkey refused to allow American troops to cross the country to invade Iraq. On the street, however, public opinion of America has been steadily declining since the invasion of Iraq, the revelations about the abuse at Abu Ghraib and the suspected transferring of Al Qaeda suspects to foreign countries to be tortured in secret prisons. Yet since the invasion, Turkey has provided logistical support to American troops in Iraq from Incirlik Air Base and has contributed military personnel to the American-led mission in Afghanistan. Washington has reciprocated by vocally supporting Turkey's bid for membership in the European Union and efforts to resolve the Cyprus conflict. The issue becomes complicated, however, when it comes to the war on terror. Outwardly, the two countries are committed partners in fighting terrorism of all kinds.
But Turkey has been fighting with Kurdish separatists seeking independence since the 1980s.
Since the invasion of Iraq, the U.S. military has been reluctant to act against the Kurdish Workers Party and has allowed it to operate in northern Iraq, which has distressed many in Turkey. Essentially, Washington tolerates a de facto Kurdish state in northern Iraq. "People think that the U.S. supports an independent Kurdish state in northern Iraq and therefore threatens the unity of Turkish land," said Nilufer Narli, a sociology professor at Bahcesehir University in Istanbul. Popular opinion of the United States and its allies, including Israel, seems to be steadily declining. Anti-American novels, including one that portrayed a war between the United States and Turkey, have been selling briskly; Hitler's "Mein Kampf" became a best seller last year. Narli believes that the perceived U.S. support for the Kurds is at the heart of this decline. Despite its popularity, however, "Valley of the Wolves - Iraq" neither triggered widespread anti-American violence in the country nor urged people to take to the streets to protest the war in Iraq. "It doesn't show anything that we did not already know," said Fahri Kaya, a 22-year-old security guard. "It was more like a group therapy that gave people a chance to let go of their negative feelings against what's been happening in Iraq as they shouted, clapped and cried." The U.S. ambassador to Turkey, Robert Wilson, in a televised interview on NTV last week, acknowledged that it was only a movie made for entertainment, but he said he still was not pleased with the way America was portrayed. He highlighted the good relations that the two countries have shared. Egemen Bagis, the former head of the Turkish American Businessmen's Association, agreed. "Our alliance with the U.S. has very strong roots," he said. "A movie or a book just cannot destroy it."

Four More Heroes Sacrifice Life for Freedom

KABUL, Afghanistan - A bomb hit a U.S. military vehicle Monday in central Afghanistan, killing four American troops, the military said. The attack occurred in Dihrawud district, Uruzgan province, as the service members were patrolling in an armored Humvee, the military said in a statement. Shortly after the blast, militants fired at the troops with guns and rocket-propelled grenades. The military responded, calling in attack helicopters and fighter planes, it said.
An assessment of militant casualties is ongoing, the statement said. "This is a sad and tragic day for us all," said Brig. Gen. John Sterling, a U.S. commander. The names of the victims was withheld pending notification of next of kin. The bombing brings the death toll of U.S. personnel to 214 in and around Afghanistan since the U.S. invaded the country in late 2001.

Freedom ain't free libtards ... OH WAIT! Liberals already forgave and forgot 9.11, all liberals do now is appease fundamentalist Muslims, and try to justify actions of Islamic terrorists

Muhammed Cartoon Organized Provocation Continues

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) -- Police fired tear gas and wielded batons on Monday to stop about 7,000 students protesting the publication of the Prophet Mohammed cartoons from marching on the governor's residence.
The students had earlier marched to several universities in Peshawar and hurled stones at a Christian school, breaking windows and causing other damage. They also threw stones at shops in the city's main business district, chanting "Down with America" and "Down with Denmark."
There were no immediate reports of casualties, but an Associated Press reporter saw students carrying away a classmate with an injured leg.
President Gen. Pervez Musharraf told journalists in the capital Islamabad on Monday that newspapers that have printed the caricatures were "being totally oblivious to the consequences for the world, for world peace and harmony."
"The most moderate Muslim will go to the street and talk against it because this hurts the sentiments of every Muslim," he said. "Whether an extremist or a moderate or an ultramoderate, we will condemn it."

7,000 - eh? so much for spontaneity!

Muslims run more propaganda on Al Jazeera

The Ministry of Defence has launched an investigation into a video which allegedly shows British soldiers brutally beating a group of young Iraqis. The film, which was reported in a Sunday newspaper, shows the troops repeatedly kicking, punching and striking civilians with batons. The newspaper said the footage was filmed during street riots in Basra in 2004 by a corporal who can be heard laughing and encouraging his colleagues in a running commentary. "We are aware of these very serious allegations and can confirm they are now the subject of an urgent Royal Military Police investigation," a Ministry of Defence spokesman said. "We condemn all acts of abuse and brutality and always treat any allegations of wrongdoing extremely seriously."
According to the News of the World, the video shows the troops dragging four young protesters off a street and into an army compound. The cameraman is said to be heard laughing and saying: "Oh yes! Oh Yes! You're gonna get it. Yes, naughty little boys. You little f***ers, you little f***ers. Die. Ha Ha." The tape shows a minute's worth of the attack - with 42 blows counted, according to the newspaper. The footage also allegedly shows a British soldier twice kicking a dead Iraqi in the face.

Road To Iran: Plan of Attack

<===(CLICK TO ENLARGE) Strategists at the Pentagon are drawing up plans for devastating bombing raids backed by submarine-launched ballistic missile attacks against Iran's nuclear sites as a "last resort" to block Teheran's efforts to develop an atomic bomb. Central Command and Strategic Command planners are identifying targets, assessing weapon-loads and working on logistics for an operation, the Sunday Telegraph has learnt. They are reporting to the office of Donald Rumsfeld, the defence secretary, as America updates plans for action if the diplomatic offensive fails to thwart the Islamic republic's nuclear bomb ambitions. Teheran claims that it is developing only a civilian energy programme. "This is more than just the standard military contingency assessment," said a senior Pentagon adviser. "This has taken on much greater urgency in recent months." The prospect of military action could put Washington at odds with Britain which fears that an attack would spark violence across the Middle East, reprisals in the West and may not cripple Teheran's nuclear programme. But the steady flow of disclosures about Iran's secret nuclear operations and the virulent anti-Israeli threats of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has prompted the fresh assessment of military options by Washington. The most likely strategy would involve aerial bombardment by long-distance B2 bombers, each armed with up to 40,000lb of precision weapons, including the latest bunker-busting devices. They would fly from bases in Missouri with mid-air refuelling. The Bush administration has recently announced plans to add conventional ballistic missiles to the armoury of its nuclear Trident submarines within the next two years. If ready in time, they would also form part of the plan of attack. Teheran has dispersed its nuclear plants, burying some deep underground, and has recently increased its air defences, but Pentagon planners believe that the raids could seriously set back Iran's nuclear programme. Iran was last weekend reported to the United Nations Security Council by the International Atomic Energy Agency for its banned nuclear activities. Teheran reacted by announcing that it would resume full-scale uranium enrichment - producing material that could arm nuclear devices. The White House says that it wants a diplomatic solution to the stand-off, but President George W Bush has refused to rule out military action and reaffirmed last weekend that Iran's nuclear ambitions "will not be tolerated". Sen John McCain, the Republican front-runner to succeed Mr Bush in 2008, has advocated military strikes as a last resort. He said recently: "There is only only one thing worse than the United States exercising a military option and that is a nuclear-armed Iran."
Senator Joe Lieberman, a Democrat, has made the same case and Mr Bush is expected to be faced by the decision within two years. By then, Iran will be close to acquiring the knowledge to make an atomic bomb, although the construction will take longer. The President will not want to be seen as leaving the White House having allowed Iran's ayatollahs to go atomic. In Teheran yesterday, crowds celebrating the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution chanted "Nuclear technology is our inalienable right" and cheered Mr Ahmadinejad when he said that Iran may reconsider membership of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. He was defiant over possible economic sanctions.

Muhammad Cartoon Chronicles Continue - Feb 12, 2006

* MONTREAL, CANADA - Chanting their love for Muhammad, about 300 Muslims gathered near McGill University on Saturday to protest against caricatures of their prophet. The protest coincided with another demonstration in Toronto that attracted about 1,300 people and several others across Europe against the cartoons, which have sparked deadly violence in some cases. "We're here today to let the world know one thing: We want to be heard and we won't be labeled," said Said Jazeri, the imam of the Al-Qods mosque, which organized the protest. "We are not savages, we are not barbarians," - YEAH RIGHT! - Jazeri said. While the protest was peaceful, leaders of many Muslim groups in Montreal urged their members not to participate in the protest because they feared it would turn violent. Instead, they opened mosques to the public.

* TEHRAN, IRAN - Iran's hard-line president on Saturday accused the United States and Europe of being "hostages of Zionism" and said they should pay a heavy price for the publication of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad that have triggered worldwide protests. Last week, demonstrators in tightly controlled Iran attacked the Danish, French and Austrian embassies with stones and firebombs and hit the British mission with rocks. <- IRAN ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS, WE ARE COMING FOR YOU

* DENMARK - Authoritieswarned Danes to leave Indonesia, saying they faced a "significant and imminent danger" from an extremist group and announced it had withdrawn embassy staff from Jakarta, Iran and Syria. <- CAN YOU SAY AXIS OF EVIL

"Second Beslan" Islamic terrorist plot foiled in Russia

Troops on Friday stormed two houses in southern Russia where alleged Chechen militants were holed up, killing twelve suspects, the regional Interior Ministry said.
A police officer who had gone missing during the first day of fighting on Thursday was found dead, bringing the toll among police to four, said Roman Shchekotin, spokesman for the southern regional office of the Russian Interior Ministry.
Police, acting on a tip off, hunted down the Islamic militant group in Tukui-Mekteb, a village in the southern Stavropol region, about 40 kilometers north of the border with Chechnya. The suspected Chechen Islamic militants refused to surrender.
Channel One television said that firing and explosions had continued into the early hours today, and that residents of the village were evacuated at dawn. It showed about a dozen women, some draped in blankets, walking quickly away, one carrying a baby. Russians investigators believe that terminated group was planning several terrorist including "Beslan-like" attack on a school.

2005 World Press Photo

A Reuters picture of a mother and child at an emergency feeding center in Niger during the recent famine there won the coveted 2005 World Press Photo of the Year Award, organizers said on Friday. The picture, taken by Canadian photographer Finbarr O'Reilly in Tahoua, northwestern Niger, on August 1 2005 shows the emaciated fingers of a one-year old child pressed against the lips of his mother.

And Liberals still whine about immigration...

SAN DIEGO - An incomplete tunnel was found in the same area where investigators recently found one of the longest passages discovered beneath the U.S.-Mexico border, officials said. The 3-foot-wide tunnel extended from just south of the border fence in Mexico to a point about 23 feet into the United States, ending at a concrete levee, Border Patrol spokesman Richard Kite said. A patrol agent noticed a distortion in the road running along the border fence, and agents digging in the area found the tunnel Thursday, Kite said. "It was only about six inches below the asphalt," he said. A 2,400-foot tunnel linking a warehouse near the airport in Tijuana, Mexico, to another warehouse in San Diego was discovered last month.

U.S., especially in the post-9/11 world, should be extra vigilant about the national borders, and stop curbing efforts of the American patriots such as people of Minute Men project to deal with issue of Mexican drug barons, illegal immigrants, and Al Queda terrorists trying to sneak into the country through the southern border.

Putin playing political games with Israel

JERUSALEM (AFP) - Israel was left fuming over Russian President
Vladimir Putin's decision to invite Palestinian poll winners Hamas to Moscow, slamming the move as a "knife in the back" from a key negotiator for Middle East peace. The invititation was later backed by France as potentially positive for the peace process.
But it puzzled Washington and delivered a blow to the Jewish state's appeal to the international community to isolate the radical movement as it prepares to form a new Palestinian government.
"This initiative is a real knife in the back... because it aims to give international legitimacy to a terrorist group and we must oppose it with all our means," Education Minister Meir Sheetrit told public radio on Friday.
"What would Moscow say if we invited Chechen representatives (to Jerusalem) in response?" the minister asked.
"Putin is dancing with wolves," charged Housing Minister Zeev Boim.
"Anger in Israel: Putin is Spitting in Our Face," read the headline of the top-selling Yediot Aharonot newspaper.

I couldn't stop laughing reading the Israeli response...

Jihad the Filthy Jihadists!

The U.S. Bank Tower, formerly known as the Library Tower, stretches above other buildings in downtown Los Angeles Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006. President Bush said Thursday the U.S-led global war on terror, with multinational cooperation, foiled purported terrorist plans to fly a commercial airplane into the Los Angeles skyscraper in 2002.

THAT'S IT! I don't want to hear another liberal terrorist apologist, or Muslim fundamentalist appeaser - these people are savages, and they already attacked. We are in a war on a global Islamic terror, and we will prevail!

GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD BLESS COALITION TROOPS, AND GOD BLESS THE LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD G.W. BUSH

News Liberals Don't Want You to Know

WASHINGTON - President Bush said the plotters, thwarted in 2002, planned to use shoe bombs to storm the plane cockpit.
The attackers would have flown the plane into the tallest building in Los Angeles, California.
Mr Bush said al-Qaeda recruited the militant Islamic group Jemaah Islamiyah to carry out the attack.
The president said the mastermind of the September 11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, was behind the west coast plot.
Planning began in October 2001, but it was thwarted in early 2002 "when a South East Asian nation arrested a key al-Qaeda operative", Mr Bush said.
Mr Bush said the target was the Liberty Tower building.

And the award for most Un-American act in 2006 Grammy Awards goes to ...

coward and traitor Bruce Springsteen, hey moron - it's field commanders in Iraq who will determine when troops levels should be reduced, not your little constipated cat music; for those who don't know Bruce Springsteen was the same idiot who tried to sway some voters to vote for Manchurian Candidate John Kerry.

Finally a Religiously Correct Cartoon

Yahoo Works with Chinese Communists

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - A freedom of speech group has accused Yahoo! of complying with the Chinese government's program of cracking down on dissident political speech on the Internet. Reporters Without Borders said in statement that Yahoo provided customer data to the Chinese government on several occasions, including in the 2003 case of Li Zhi, who was jailed for "inciting subversion."
Li had been arrested previously in 2002 for posting in online discussion groups about the corruption of local officials, according to the statement. "[Yahoo] says it simply responds to requests from the authorities for data without ever knowing what it will be used for. But this argument no longer holds water," said the statement. "Yahoo certainly knew it was helping to arrest political dissidents and journalists, not just ordinary criminals."
"We are unaware of this case," said Yahoo spokeswoman Mary Osako told Business 2.0, CNNMoney's sister publication. "We can't comment on the accuracy of the report."
The activist group called for Yahoo to release the names of all people it has provided data on, pointing to a Reporters Without Borders list of 81 people who were allegedly jailed for speech violations.
Yahoo has previously faced criticism. Shi Tao, another dissident was jailed for 10 years in April 2005 after the Internet company allegedly supplied data about him to the government.

Did Christians Pilot Any Planes Into Buildings?

COPENHAGEN - The Danish newspaper that first published caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad infuriating Muslims worldwide previously turned down cartoons of Jesus as too offensive, a cartoonist said on Wednesday. Twelve cartoons of the Prophet published last September by Jyllands-Posten newspaper have outraged Muslims, provoking violent protests in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but cartoons, especially political cartoons usually reflect the sarcastic view on the current events in today's world. So this Dannish newspaper had done so, by depicting how teachings of Muhammad affect the minds of certain people - which a valid point, and should be taken as such. Let's not forget - it wasn't Christians who flew commercial jets into buildings on 9/11, it wasn't Christians who used children of Beslan as human shields, it wasn't Christians who blew up innocent people in London, Madrid, Rhyad, and dozens of cities around the world. It's not Christians who attempt to destabilize Iraq by perpetrating attacks against forces of freedom, and Iraqi civilians every day ... So why is the latter (refusal to publicize Jesus cartoon) even an issue?; not to mention the Holocaust cartoon contest announcement yesterday from Iran.

By the way, in the photo above, Bangladeshi Muslim supporters of 'Islami Chatra Morcha', an Islamic group, burn a Danish flag in Dhaka - disecrating a Christian cross on Danish flag, if we are going to go into issue of blasphemy...

Muhammed Cartoon Chronicles

KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Afghan police have shot and killed several protesters trying to storm a U.S. military base, bringing the death toll from this week's violent demonstrations over caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed to at least 10.
Wednesday's violence came as U.S. President George W. Bush urged governments around the world to help put an end to the violence sparked by angry protests over the cartoons.
"I call upon the governments around the world to stop the violence, to be respectful, to protect property and protect the lives of innocent diplomats who are serving their countries overseas," Bush said, referring to the attacks on Danish and other European embassies in several capitals.

Road To Iran (February 08, 2006 update)

* Americans' fears about Iran have grown sharply over the last few months as efforts by the United States and Europe to slow Tehran's nuclear program have been firmly rejected, a poll found. More people in this country now rate Iran as the biggest threat to the U.S., 27 percent, than say that about any other country, including North Korea, China and Iraq, according to the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press. As recently as October, Iraq and China were seen as the biggest threats, closely followed by North Korea.

* Elsewhere, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has accepted an invitation to visit Cuba from President Fidel Castro, in gratitude for Cuba's support of Iran's nuclear program, the official Granma newspaper said on Tuesday. Ahmadinejad accepted the invitation in Tehran from Cuban Ambassador Felipe Perez Roque. During his visit, the Iranian leader will attend the September 11-16 Non-Aligned Summit in Havana, the daily said.

* On Saturday in Vienna, Cuba, Venezuela and Syria voted against a resolution of the International Atomic Energy Agency to refer Iran to the UN Security Council over a nuclear program the West suspects is weapons-oriented. The Iranian President recently publicly thanked Cuba for its "dignified and principled" position during the IAEA's special meeting, which ended in a 27-3 vote in favour of reporting Iran to the UN council. Separately, Granma announced that Iranian Parliament President Ghulam Ali Haddad Adel has accepted an invitation to visit Cuba from Cuba's National Assembly.

Hey liberals, will you weep like little girls when we bomb Iran?

Holocaust Cartoon Contest in Iran .... WHAT?!!

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran's best-selling newspaper has launched a competition to find the best cartoon about the Holocaust in retaliation for the publication in many European countries of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad. The Brussels-based Conference of European Rabbis (CER) denounced the idea and urged the Muslim world to do likewise. The Anti-Defamation League, which fights anti-semitism, described the competition as "deliberately inflammatory".
The Iranian daily Hamshahri said the contest was designed to test the boundaries of free speech the reason given by many European newspapers for publishing the cartoons of the Prophet.
"Does Western free speech allow working on issues like America and Israel's crimes or an incident like the Holocaust or is this freedom of speech only good for insulting the holy values of divine religions?" the paper asked. Davoud Kazemi, who is in charge of the contest, told Reuters that each of the 12 winners would have their cartoons published and receive two gold coins (worth about $140 each) as a prize.

Can you say provocation.

Justice Served In England

This is an artist impression of radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza, left, being addressed by Judge Anthony Hughes, right, in the dock at the Old Bailey, London, Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006. A jury on Tuesday convicted radial preacher Abu Hamza al-Masri of inciting followers to kill non-Muslims, after a dramatic trial in which prosecutors called the cleric a 'recruiting officer for terrorism and murder' who hijacked a great religion for his violent ends. The jury at London's Central Criminal Court found the one-eyed, hook-handed cleric guilty on 11 of 15 charges against him, including counts of soliciting murder, stirring racial hatred, possessing a terrorist document and possessing threatening or abusive recordings.
I wish we could indict pro-choice liberals on the same charges - inciting murder.

Muhammed Cartoon Insanity Continues

* KABUL, Afghanistan - NATO peacekeepers exchanged fire with protesters who attacked their base Tuesday in the second straight day of violent demonstrations in Afghanistan over the publication of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad, Afghan officials said. One demonstrator was killed and dozens wounded. In neighboring Pakistan, 5,000 people chanting "Hang the man who insulted the prophet" burned effigies of one cartoonist and Denmark's prime minister. And a prominent Iranian newspaper said it was going to hold a competition for cartoons on the Holocaust in reaction to European newspapers publishing the prophet drawings. The NATO troops, most of them Norwegian, fired on hundreds of protesters outside the base in Maymana after the demonstrators shot at them and threw grenades, said provincial Gov. Mohammed Latif. The protesters also burned an armored vehicle, a U.N. car and guard posts, prompting NATO peacekeepers to rush British reinforcements to the city.Maymana Hospital said one protester was shot dead and six were wounded, while some 50 others were hurt by tear gas the peacekeepers used to disperse the demonstrators. One Norwegian soldier was injured by a splinter from a grenade, while another was hurt by a flying rock. Two Finnish soldiers were also hurt, Sverre Diesen, the Norwegian military commander, told reporters in Oslo.

* Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said the West's publication of the Prophet Muhammad cartoons was an Israeli conspiracy motivated by anger over the victory of the militant Hamas group in the Palestinian elections last month. "The West condemns any denial of the Jewish holocaust, but it permits the insult of Islamic sanctities," Khamenei said.
On a lighter note - Iran'slargest selling newspaper announced today it was holding a contest on cartoons of the Holocaust in response to the publishing in European papers of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed."It will be an international cartoon contest about the Holocaust," said Farid Mortazavi, the graphics editor for Hamshahri newspaper - which is published by Teheran's conservative municipality. He said the plan was to turn the tables on the assertion that newspapers can print offensive material in the name of freedom of expression. "The Western papers printed these sacrilegious cartoons on the pretext of freedom of expression, so let's see if they mean what they say and also print these Holocaust cartoons," he said.

People Die Over Muhammad Cartoon

Just In, Associated Press reports that cartoon protests turn deadly, 4 Afghans killed as security opens fire; violent clashes over this same cartoon controversy in India, Syria, Palestine and Iran

Are you, Muslims, for real?

Muslim Double Standards on "Hate Speech"

An Iranian student holds a slogan during a protest in front of the Austrian embassy against the publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed in Tehran. The US urged Muslims angered by newspaper cartoons of the Islamic prophet Mohammed to also condemn frequent anti-Semitic and anti-Christian "hate speech" in the Islamic world.

Like that would happen; it appears that my favorite cartoon of prophet Muhammad was in fact published all the way in September, 2005 - and all these "outraged" protests seem to be an organized anti-Western campaign, smart move on behalf of whoever is behind this "outrage of Muslim world" - especially considering the current geo-political situation.

Oh, and another thing - I don't know if anyone had thought of this yet - but aren't only Muslims bound by Islamic laws (i.e. forbidding depiction of Muhammad), what right do Muslims have to impose Islamic laws on non-Muslims if they view us as infidels anyways?
