Haditha report - liberal/ terrorist new Mecca

Ok, U.S. military officials say the killing of 24 civilians in the Iraqi town of Haditha in November appears to have been an unprovoked attack by U.S. Marines, after an investigation found the victims died of gunshot wounds, The New York Times reported on Wednesday. The findings of the investigation contradicted Marines' claims that the civilians were victims of a roadside bomb, the newspaper said.
And let me tell you something liberals, yes - if these soldiers were in fact guilty of a war crime, they will shortly face the consequences from military tribunal. However, why are everyone making such a big deal out of it? In no way does this act reflect the policies or ideology of U.S. military. Don't even start with those silly Vietnam's My Lai parallels, first off - you never know if these so-called civilians were harboring the bomber(s) that killed that marine that sparked the accident. We would never know, either, if any of those killed were in fact terrorists, since Al Queda usually recruits kids as young as 10-12, because they are harder to shoot at by coalition soldiers.
Point is - let military tribunal complete this investigation, and get those responsible. However, publication of this case will only fuel Islamic terrorist cause, don't you understand libs - that by spinning this story into something it is not - you are working as a propaganda machine for the terrorists.
My view on Haditha shooting, in summary, is - it's a tragedy, but it is a almost closed case, not to be talked about.
OH YEAH LIBERALS, ENLIST ! AND SHOW US ALL HOW WOULD YOU FIGHT ISLAMIC TERRORIST SAVAGES DIFFERENTLY OR IN A MORE SENSITIVE MANNER, OR SHUT UP YOU TREASONOUS COWARDS, EASY TO TALK BEHIND OUR TROOP'S BACKS

and the Liberal Idiot Of The Day award goes to ....

Al Gore has made his sharpest attack yet on the George Bush presidency, describing the current US administration as "a renegade band of rightwing extremists". In an interview with the Guardian today, the former vice-president calls himself a "recovering politician", but launches into the political fray more explicitly than he has previously done during his high-profile campaigning on the threat of global warming. Denying that his politics have shifted to the left since he lost the court battle for the 2000 election, Mr Gore says: "If you have a renegade band of rightwing extremists who get hold of power, the whole thing goes to the right."

Now Imagine this Gore nutcase as a president of United State ... jeesh, what where u liberals thinking?

Criminal Transit Union Paralyzes City of Toronto

Management calls it an illegal strike. The union calls it a lockout. And hundreds of thousands of commuters call it a major disaster. TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) workers made good on their weekend threat Monday, shutting down the entire system at 5am. The job action means there are no buses, streetcars or subways running anywhere in the city, leaving commuters stranded and roads clogged with extra traffic as everyone seeks another way into work. Some GO service is also affected because buses can't get into the T.T.C. stations. Only Wheel-Trans is still on track for now. Union members blocked the entrance to the transit yards early Monday, making it impossible for employees to get to their vehicles. There are disagreements over just what this unexpected strike is about.
I call it labor terrorism - I am so sick and tired of corrupt unions ruining the everyday lives and businesses of North America, not to mention the long term adverse impact in the globally competitive economy. I don't think unions are serving a good purpose today; they only further reduce the amount of decent employment opportunities available in to today's job environment through unrealistic demands for employers, as well as expedite inevitable outsourcing and McDonaldization of labor, not to mention organized crime ties. Ironically, people targeted in this strike - are the one's who are struggling the most (i.e. new immigrants, lower working class) - those who unions are SUPPOSEDLY representing. I say - down with ALL unions!

If Liberal Media existed in WW2 - sample article

The Present Debacle

May 21, 1945 — After the debacles of February and March at Iwo Jima, and now the ongoing quagmire on Okinawa, we are asked to accept recent losses that are reaching 20,000 dead brave American soldiers and yet another 50,000 wounded in these near criminally incompetent campaigns euphemistically dubbed “island hopping.”
Meanwhile, we are no closer to victory over Japan. Instead, we are hearing of secret plans of invasion of the Japanese mainland slated for 1946 or even 1947 that may well make Okinawa seem like a cake walk and cost us a million casualties and perhaps involve a half-century of occupation. The extent of the current Kamikaze threat, once written off as the work of a “bunch of dead-enders,” was totally unforeseen, even though such suicidal zealots are in the process of inflicting the worst casualties on the U.S. Navy in its entire history.
Worse still, our sources in the intelligence community speak of a billion-dollar boondoggle now underway in the American southwest. This improbable “super-weapon” (with the patently absurd name “Manhattan Project” — in the midst of a desert no less!) promises in one fell swoop to erase our mistakes and give us instant deliverance from our blunders — no concern, of course, for the thousands of innocents who would be vaporized if such a monstrous fantasy bomb were ever actually to work.
We are only now coming off even more terrible losses in Europe, after being surprised by a supposedly defeated enemy in the Ardennes where another 20,000 Americans were killed and another 60,000 wounded or missing — again, due to our continued strategic incompetence and abject intelligence failures. Macabre reports of American bazooka shells bouncing off German Tiger tanks and our Shermans ablaze like Ronson lighters have only now come to light as we plow the Belgium countryside for yet another new American war cemetery. Tragically, this is not the first, but the fourth year of this war, when victory rather than endless bloodshed has been long promised.
A number of issues arise. Why is Henry Stimson (“Gentlemen do not read each other's mail”) still Secretary of War? After the debacles at Pearl Harbor, the Philippines tragedy, the Kasserine Pass disaster, the unforeseen bocage in Normandy, the Falaise Gap escape, the Anzio mess, the fatal detour to Rome, the surprise at the Bulge, the bloodbath at Tarawa, and now the Iwo Jima and Okinawa nightmares, is not five years of his incompetence and arrogance enough? A number of our retired generals seems to agree, who have recently bravely come forward to remind us that Sec. Stimson long ago tried to dismantle key elements of our intelligence services, attempted to curtail the operational command of our Army Air Corps generals in conducting bombings of Europe, and has on more than one occasion intervened to remove targets from Gen. LeMay’s campaign over Japan.
As we see thousands of Americans dying and our enemies still in power after four years of war, it is also legitimate to question the stewardship of Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Marshall. The Sherman tank tragedy, the daylight bombing fiasco, the absence of even minimally suitable anti-tank weapons and torpedoes — all these lapses came on his watch, and the man at the top must take full responsibility for mistakes that have now cost thousands of American lives. Indeed, it is not just that America has worse tanks and guns than our German enemies, but they are inferior even to the rockets and armor of our Soviet allies. The recent publication of “The Sherman Tank Scandal” follows other revelations published in “Asleep at the Philippines,” “The Flight of Gen. MacArthur,” “Gen. Patton and the Atrocities on Sicily,” “Do Americans Execute P.O.Ws?” “Torture on Guadalcanal,” “Incinerating Women and Children?” and “Civilian Massacres in Germany” — publications in their totality that suggest a military out of control as often as it is incompetent.
Such problems start at the top. It is not out of “Roosevelt hating,” but out of the need for truth that requires this paper to remind the American people that Mr. Roosevelt, in whose hands our collective fate lies, has been untruthful to his wife about his liaisons, untruthful to the American people about the extent of his crippling illness, and thus, not surprisingly, untruthful to the United States Congress about the extent of our prewar involvement with the British Empire in its European war and the secret nature of our present commitments.
Recently we have learned that President Roosevelt, the former law school dropout, once again has violated basic freedoms enshrined in our Constitution. Supposed German suspects were subject to military tribunals, tried in secret, and then executed. Tens of thousands of Italians, Germans, and Japanese war-captives are detained in hundreds of American prison compounds, without charges and often in secret. How many were truly captured in uniform, and under what conditions, is never disclosed.
Unfortunately this violation of American values comes not in isolation, but on the heels of the unlawful internment of thousands of American citizens in Western concentration camps, the cover-up of the Cobra disaster in Normandy and the criminally negligent killing of General McNair, and still more rumors that hundreds of American soldiers perished in secret in training exercises on the eve of the Normandy invasion. Yet, the American people to this day have no precise idea how many of their enlisted men and officers have been killed, much less where they perished or how.
Indeed, what little we know comes to light only due to the brave efforts of a few unnamed operatives in the Office of Strategic Services who have in secret provided such information concerning patently illegal activities to the responsible news organizations.
Yet even this government’s propaganda efforts ring hallow, as we noticed with the recently released film footage purportedly showing Adolph Hitler incompetently handling a Colt .45 revolver. In fact, such a weapon, little known in Germany, is hard to load and shoot, especially the early model that the Fuhrer was shown trying to fire. To be fair, his apparent unease is not necessarily proof that Mr. Hitler was unfamiliar with firearms, much less fraudulent in his demonstration of military experience.
Remember as well that these clandestine transgressions of this administration follow a long record of constitutional disrespect — whether trying to pack the Supreme Court with compliant justices, unilaterally turning over our destroyers to the United Kingdom, or, well before Pearl Harbor, ordering, by fiat, attacks on the high seas against German submarines. Such abuses of presidential authority, characterized by intrigue with British agents and unauthorized spying on foreign nationals, go a long way in explaining the German decision to declare war against us on December 8, 1941, presenting the United States with the present catastrophe of a two-front conflict.
We can envision that when this lamentable war is over, fought with such malfeasance, the real heroes will not be Gen. Marshall, Secretary Stimson, or yes-men like Gen Eisenhower, but courageous mavericks such as a Charles Lindbergh or Senator Robert Taft, who long ago warned us that we were provoking an unnecessary war, one that, as they feared, was subsequently to be waged barbarically and yet incompetently at the same time.
The final irony is that we may well end up friendlier with our current fascist enemies than with our Communist allies. It is not hard to envision a policy looming on the horizon that soon coddles Hitler’s current friend Gen. Franco, while opposing his dire enemy Joseph Stalin. We have it on good authority that already there are postwar contingency plans to train and reform the Japanese and German militaries to serve as a bulwark against a Communist Soviet Union and a soon to be Communist China, as America readies for yet another war, one that may last not five, but 50 years. How ironic that a struggle that started out in 1939 to ensure a free Eastern Europe and China may well end up, at best, guaranteeing their enslavement to totalitarians every bit as cruel as Hitler and Tojo.
Citizens should not have to look to our actors and intellectuals for answers, but, in the absence of political accountability, they often do. After the release of The True Story of the B-17 Slaughter, Gary Cooper thankfully came forward to remind us how President Roosevelt took us into a British war that we were utterly unprepared for. Next look for Coop’s recently completed and powerful American Gestapo this fall. Likewise, Jimmy Stewart remarked from the front lines above Germany (so unlike our president, who failed to serve in any of America’s past wars) that it is hard to know who the real enemy is after we have bombed the children of Hamburg. And Clark Gable is currently preparing a documentary on the Pacific theater, 12/7, that outlines the racist nature of that campaign that seeks the extermination of all the living Japanese we encounter.
Finally, we welcome the upcoming courageous anthology edited by John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, and William Faulkner, Worse Than Our Enemies?, that charts the near criminal direction of American foreign policy under this administration’s plans of total and endless war, of preparing for a new imperial conflict against the Soviet Union before the current one with Germany and Japan is even over. It is in this context that the venerable John Ford recently resigned from the Navy, and instead will produce a series of films Why We Shouldn’t Fight that will reveal what was really behind this needless campaign of annihilation against the Japanese.

ACLU takes the side of Islamic terrorists ... again

NEW YORK - The American Civil Liberties Union said on its Web site Tuesday night that it was demanding action by the Federal Communications Commission and in 17 states. It planned to advertise the start of its program in newspapers across the country Wednesday. The Don't Spy On Me campaign, symbolized by a telephone with an eye on it, urges the public to go to an ACLU Web site to add their names to complaints being filed with the FCC and with state utility commissions. "Join us in our work," the ACLU site said, referring to the program. "Help defend privacy and civil liberties."

And Libturds begin their campaign of America hatred again, you know, in my view, in post-9/11 world government has every right to know what people with names like Muhammed or Ali Baba talk about in private on American soil ... but that is beyond the point. Why are these leftards always in the way of our progress in the war against global Islamic fundamentalism, why do you hate American liberals?

Is bin Laden alive?

CAIRO, Egypt - The latest tape purportedly released by Osama bin Laden may be an attempt by the al-Qaida chief to regain his eminence in the global terror network and raise his profile overall after being sidelined by insurgents in Iraq, terrorism experts said Wednesday. In an audio tape posted on the Internet late Tuesday, a speaker claiming to be bin Laden said that neither Zacarias Moussaoui -- the only person convicted in the United States for the Sept. 11 attacks -- nor anyone held at Guantanamo had anything to do with the al-Qaida operation.

You know - this bin Laden character was relegated to Elvis/ Jimmy Hoffa status in the Islamic terrorist and liberal circles - these two groups sincerely want to belief that the old fart is still alive, and those grainy audio-tapes Islamics try to produce to proof the latter seem to be a perfect sell to liberals. C'mon, the guy is dead and buried, get over it, it is most likely he was killed in 2002 Tora Bora air bombardment - and he is nothing but a Big Brother type character for anti-Americans like Islamic fundies and libturds.

Iran test fires long range missiles

Iran conducted a test launch Tuesday night of the Shihab-3 intermediate-range ballistic missile, which is capable of reaching Israel and US targets in the region, Israel Radio reported. The test came hours before Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with US President George W Bush in Washington to discuss the Iranian threat.
Military officials said it was not clear if this most recent test indicated an advance in the capabilities of the Shihab 3. They said the test was likely timed to coincide with the Washington summit and with comments made by Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah during celebrations in Beirut marking the 6th anniversary of Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
Well, libtards, let's hear what do you have to say about this - another step that moves Islamo-fascists closer to the nuke and still - you do nothing. Do you really think you can appease these people with reason and flowers?! Keep thinking that ... meanwhile these parasites covertly thank you for every day you buy their nuke program with your whining, are you really waiting for a nuclear mushroom cloud over Tel Aviv before you act? These people had proven that they will not hesitate to use a nuke as soon as they have one - oh, well, but you'd rather wait.

Another bad news day for libs

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - A U.S.-led nighttime airstrike against Taliban rebels in southern
Afghanistan killed up to 80 suspected militants, the coalition said Monday. The local governor said 16 civilians were killed and 16 wounded. At a hospital, wounded residents of Azizi village described how aircraft bombed mud-brick homes where Taliban rebels were hiding, having fled there from a religious school after the airstrikes started. Among the wounded was an 8-month-old infant. In a statement, the coalition said it had confirmed 20 Taliban killed in the attack on the village in Kandahar province late Sunday and early Monday, while there were "an unconfirmed 60 additional Taliban casualties."

Global War on Terror continues, even over the weekend

Well, truth-seekers, it looks like another turbulent Victoria day weekend in the global war against Islamic terrorism, in Kabul, Afghanistan - one French and 16 Afghan soldiers were killed and about 40 other troops were wounded in two firefights in southern Afghanistan, coalition and Afghan officials said Sunday.
In Baghdad, Iraq - a suicide bomber killed at least 13 people and injured 17 when he blew himself up Sunday in a downtown Baghdad restaurant frequented by police. The attack came as Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki pledged to soon fill vacancies in his two key security ministries.
The attack against the Safar restaurant was part of a spree of roadside bombs, mortar rounds and a drive-by shooting that killed at least 18 Iraqis and wounded dozens. The 12 dead in the restaurant attack included three police officers, said Police Col. Abbas Mohammed. The explosion struck at 1:20 p.m. during the crowded lunch hour in Baghdad's mixed Karradah neighborhood. Blood was splattered on the restaurant's white tile walls, and wrought iron chairs were scattered throughout the corner store.
Meanwhile the inauguration of Iraq's new government marks a new era in relations with the country that the U.S. has occupied for more than three years, president Bush said Sunday. "The formation of a unity government in Iraq is a new day for the millions of Iraqis who want to live in peace," Bush said. "And the formation of the unity government in Iraq begins a new chapter in our relationship with Iraq." Bush briefly spoke to reporters from the White House with his wife, Laura, at his side, to highlight the political development without mentioning the violence that still rages in Iraq.
Now guess which story liberal media would choose to ignore?!

Yet Another Muslim Airline Terror Plot Foiled

Islamic terrorist plot to blow up an El Al jet at Geneva airport with an RPG (rocket propelled grenade) in December was uncovered by the Swiss and French intelligence agencies, details released for publication on Friday revealed. The Yedioth Aharonot newspaper reported that a secret agent working undercover amongst an Islamic terror cell in the city discovered the plan after three immigrants of Arabic origin boasted of their attempts to smuggle weapons from Russia with the ultimate goal of shooting down an Israeli plane at the airport. When the matter was reported to Israeli security, El Al changed the flight paths of all its Geneva-bound planes, landing them at Zurich Airport the following week. Swiss officials reported that no arrests were made following the discovery since the plan had yet to reach its final operational stages. El Al has reportedly installed the Flight Guard Self Protection System at a cost of one million dollars per plane on some of its fleet, and plans to install it in all its jets in the future. The system is capable of detecting an approaching missile, warning the crew and automatically activating countermeasures that will divert the missile from its course, saving the aircraft and its passengers.

Toronto police cracks down on black gangs

Police descended on 60 locations rounding up dozens of suspects in a series of pre-dawn raids in Rexdale Thursday morning. The massive operation may be the largest of its kind in Toronto Police history. Approximately 600 officers from the RCMP, OPP, Peel, York and Durham Regions and the Toronto Police Guns and Gangs Task Force raided the locations, including one at John Garland Boulevard and Martin Grove, at 5:30am in the northwest part of the city stretching into Peel Region. There's word that the slick and simultaneous raids were targeting members of a specific, high profile gang. Police are expected to divulge details of the huge operation later Thursday morning. The raiding parties of officers and police dogs moved into position in the back of rented cube vans and it's believed the busts stemmed from the largest wiretap operation in Canadian police history. There was a steady stream of cruisers and police wagons carrying suspects and some children to 23 Division Thursday morning and so far at least 87 people are in custody. Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair arrived at the station around 7:30am. Shortly after the raids, police stopped and searched cars in the area looking for any suspects who may have slipped away from them during the early morning action.
It's about time; these gang savages are turning entire city into a shooting gallery, selling drugs, destroying neighborhoods - with newly legislated harsher prison terms for gang-related offenses under new conservative government I sincerely hope that worthless scum goes behind bars for a long time.

In Memoriam

Prime Minister Stephen Harper released the following statement on the death earlier today of Captain Nichola Kathleen Sarah Goddard during a significant operation in support of Afghan authorities west of Kandahar City:"On behalf of all Canadians, I wish to express our profound regret and sadness at news of the death of Captain Nichola Goddard."Captain Goddard died while helping to bring peace, stability and democracy to a troubled region of the world. She, and the other men and women who serve in Afghanistan, are involved in a difficult and dangerous mission. They are serving our country and its people with distinction. Our nation will not forget their sacrifice."I wish to extend our deepest condolences to Captain Goddard's family, friends, and co-workers - particularly those at her home base of 1 Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (1 RCHA) in Shilo, Manitoba. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and with the families and loved ones of all those serving in Afghanistan."

Canadian Female KIA in Afghanistan; Canada can take over entire Afghan operation

Even as Parliament debates the future of Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan, comes more devastating news. Another member of our armed forces has been killed in action in the war-torn nation and this latest tragedy represents another first – the victim is a female soldier. Nichola Goddard of Shilo, Manitoba was killed during a firefight with Taliban insurgents in the Panjwai region, about 24 kilometres west of the Canadian base in Kandahar. his latest casualty will likely leave an already divided public further disenchanted with the Canadian mission overseas. Seventeen Canadians – including 16 soldiers and one diplomat – have been claimed in fighting in the country since our participation began under the Liberal regime. The Conservatives surprised the opposition parties on Monday by putting forth the idea of extending our presence in the former Taliban stronghold by at least two years. A published report suggests NATO has asked Canada to take command of the entire Afghan mission in 2008.

Picture to proof all lib conspiracy nuts wrong

A video image made available by the Pentagon, Tuesday, May 16, 2006, shows the nose of American Airlines Flight 77 entering the frame at center right, before crashing into the Pentagon in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The images, recorded by a Pentagon security camera, were released in response to a Freedom of Information Act request by Judicial Watch, a public interest group. Some still images from the video had previously been leaked and publicly circulated, but this is the first time the government has officially released the imagery.

VIENNA, Austria - Key European nations are considering offering Iran a light-water nuclear reactor as part of incentives meant to persuade Tehran to give up its uranium enrichment program, a senior diplomat said Tuesday. But a U.S. official said Washington would likely oppose the plan.

Chopper Down

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Insurgents shot down a U.S. helicopter south of Baghdad and killed two soldiers, bringing the weekend death toll of American service members to seven, the U.S. military said Monday. The helicopter attack occurred Sunday during fighting in Youssifiyah, 12 miles south of the Iraqi capital, the military said. It was the second helicopter shot down in the past six weeks over that area, commonly known as the "Triangle of Death" because of the large number of insurgent attacks. An Apache helicopter went down there April 1. Two U.S. Marines died Sunday during unspecified "enemy action" in Anbar Province, the area of western
Iraq that is the heart of the Sunni-Arab led insurgency, the U.S. command said. Two U.S. Army soldiers also died Sunday in a roadside bomb attack in Baghdad, and another U.S. soldier was killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad on Saturday. The fatalities raised to 2,443 the number of U.S. military personnel who have died since the war began in 2003, according to a count by The Associated Press

Islamics battle in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia - Islamic militia and secular fighters pounded each other with heavy artillery and mortar fire Saturday as the death toll rose to 142 in seven days of fighting for control of a neighborhood north of the capital. Residents worried that fighting may spread to other areas after rival militias deployed near the road linking Mogadishu to southern Somalia -- the only route currently accessible to civilians.

Scarborough - Toronto's Harlem

Gun violence erupted in Scarborough overnight, leaving three people hurt and prompting a police search for suspects. Two of the victims may be related to a single shooting near Kennedy Rd. and Lawrence Ave. East. One individual was struck in the face when shots rang out at a townhouse complex on Canlish Rd.Later, police found a man in a nearby bus shelter with a gunshot wound to the hand, but it’s unclear at this point if the two incidents are related. Part of Lawrence Ave. had to be temporarily closed to traffic as investigators looked for evidence. The victim who was struck in the face suffered what police called serious but non-life threatening injuries. Meanwhile, bullets also flew in the Kennedy Rd. and Eglinton Ave. area, injuring a man estimated to be 19 years old. He was taken to hospital by emergency crews at about midnight with at least two separate gun-inflicted wounds. His injuries were also considered non-life threatening. Police have yet to arrest suspects in either shooting, and they’re still trying to determine a connection between the first two victims. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has begun drawing up plans to send troops and equipment to the U.S. border with Mexico, where hundreds of thousands of migrants enter the country illegally each year, a defense official said on Friday. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld discussed border issues at the Pentagon with his Mexican counterpart, Defense Minister Gen. Gerardo Clemente Ricardo Vega. Mexico and the United States share a 2,000-mile border.

GO 2ND AMENDMENT

NSA is listening to you, Liberals!

The National Security Agency has been secretly collecting the phone call records of tens of millions of Americans, using data provided by AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth, people with direct knowledge of the arrangement told USA TODAY. The NSA program reaches into homes and businesses across the nation by amassing information about the calls of ordinary Americans - most of whom aren't suspected of any crime. This program does not involve the NSA listening to or recording conversations. But the spy agency is using the data to analyze calling patterns in an effort to detect terrorist activity, sources said in separate interviews.
hehe, I bet you libs feel uneasy about your anti-american, treasonous, and seditious comments you make to your anti-american friends. You thought we won't notice?! We got your number now you little cowards!

Christian Orthodox Church DAMNS Da Vinci Code

Just when you thought catholics were bad - the Greek Orthodox church reportedly criticised the best selling "Da Vinci Code" thriller, the film of which comes out in the coming days, as offensive and mistaken. The semi-official Ana news agency said that a leaflet to be distributed to churchgoers at all Orthodox churches next Sunday states "From a religious and historical point of view the content of the book is wholly false." "The work attacks and undermines in a treacherous manner religious knowledge," said the leaflet, produced by the church's supreme body, the holy synod. The thesis of the book, which has sold millions of copies, is that Jesus Christ married, and had a child by, Mary Magadalene. "The author (American Dan Brown) wants to damage faith in the church and in Christ, as perfect God and perfect man," says the leaflet. "Quite apart from the fact that the book attacks Christ, it also attacks the church, directly accusing it of lying and deceiving the faithful." The Orthodox church, to which 97 percent of Greeks belong, "does not call on people either to see or not to see the film, or to read or not to read the book ... but it is sure that those who do will see the lies and reject its riduculous content."

Firefights In Mogadishu - Oh, the Reminiscence

MOGADISHU, Somalia - Islamic militiamen and secular fighters battled for control of Somalia's capital Wednesday despite promises of a cease-fire, and the death toll rose to at least 96, with nearly 200 wounded. The firing of heavy weapons echoed through the city as fighting spread to another Mogadishu neighborhood. The battle between the Islamic Court Union and the Alliance for the Restoration of Peace and Counterterrorism has centered on the northern neighborhood of Sii-Sii, with neither side gaining an advantage. Most of the victims were civilians caught in the crossfire.

WORLD CELEBRATES THE VICTORY DAY!

My grandfather proudly marched today in the first column of the parade in Kiev, capital of Ukraine - city which he helped to liberate during Eastern Front offensive. President Yuschenko - current president of Ukraine, extended congratulations to the veterans, and wishes that the world doesn't forget the sacrifice people of former Soviet Union made in defeating the most of the Nazi Wermacht forces on the Eastern Front, allowing for liberation of Europe by Allies, defeat of European Nazism, and end of WW2.

For those who don't know - Victory Day (Russian: Den' Pobedy) marks the capitulation of Nazi Germany to the Soviet Union in the Second World War commonly referred to in the Soviet Union as the Great Patriotic War. This capitulation was signed late in the evening on May 8, 1945, following the original capitulation Germany signed earlier to the joint Allied forces. The Soviet government announced the victory early on May 9, a day after the signing ceremony in Berlin.
The May 9 Victory Day is celebrated in most of the successor states to the Soviet Union, especially in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The day is traditionally marked by ceremonial military parades with the most prominent one being traditionally held in Moscow Red Square.
Two separate capitulation events took place at the time. First, the capitulation to the Allied nations in Reims was signed on May 7, 1945, effective May 8. This date is commonly referred to as the V-E Day (Victory in Europe Day) in most western European countries. The Red Army's command however insisted that the Germans specifically surrender to the Soviet Union, which contributed most to the defeat of Nazi Germany, and held another surrender ceremony in Berlin late on May 8, when it was already May 9 in Moscow due to the difference in time zones. Field-Marshal Wilhelm Keitel submitted the capitulation of the Wehrmacht to the Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov in the Red Army headquarters in Berlin-Karlshorst. To commemorate the event, the ceremonial Moscow Victory Parade was held in the Soviet capital on June 24, 1945.

American democRATS are planning a bloodless coup d'etat

Democratic leaders, increasingly confident they will seize control of the House in November, are laying plans for a legislative blitz during their first week in power that would raise the minimum wage, roll back parts of the Republican prescription drug law, implement homeland security measures and reinstate lapsed budget deficit controls.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) said in an interview last week that a Democratic House would launch a series of investigations of the Bush administration, beginning with the White House's first-term energy task force and probably including the use of intelligence in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq. Pelosi denied Republican allegations that a Democratic House would move quickly to impeach President Bush. But, she said of the planned investigations, "You never know where it leads to."
In recent days, Democratic confidence has been buoyed by a series of polls indicating that not only is Bush growing increasingly unpopular, so are Republicans in Congress. An Associated Press-Ipsos poll released Friday found that 33 percent of the public approves of Bush's job performance, the lowest rating of his presidency. And only 25 percent approves of the job Congress is doing, a figure comparable to congressional approval ratings before the 1994 elections that swept Republicans to power.

In Novemeber - Vote Republican for the sake of our troops and America

Christian Fundamentalists Attack Da Vinci Code ... again

A copy of the book The Da Vinci Code is displayed as U.S. author Dan Brown appears at the High Court in London, February 27, 2006. In the latest Vatican broadside against "The Da Vinci Code", a leading cardinal says Christians should respond to the book and film with legal action because both offend Christ and the Church he founded.

OK, I have a question to Pope Ratzi "the Nazi" Ratzinger - if your so-called Jesus ever existed - didn't he kick out the money collectors from the house of God? Catholic Church is the biggest religion pimp in the world; and isn't embracing God anywhere but in your heart a deadly sin of idolatry and blasphemy, huh Christian Fundies? For centuries you were suppressing sciences and diminishing role of female in society - AND you still do! Only thing you prove is that Opus Dei still exists and it is very close to what it is portrayed as in the book.

Anyways, can't wait for Da Vinci code - going to premiere, will re-read my illustrated edition book, and definitely buying the video game for PS2.

GO DAN BROWN; DOWN WITH ALL RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALISTS!

Words Of Wisdom

"Science offers the prospect of eventual cures for terrible diseases — and temptations to manipulate life and violate human dignity," Bush said during commencement exercises at Oklahoma State University. "With the Internet, you can communicate instantly with someone halfway across the world — and isolate yourself from your family and your neighbors."
"My advice: Harness the promise of technology without becoming slaves to technology. My advice is that science serves the cause of humanity and not the other way around," the president said.

An Iraqi youth jumps over burning car tyres after British soldiers opened fire near the helicopter crash site in Basra, Iraq's second-largest city, 550 kilometers (340 miles) southeast of Baghdad, Saturday, May 6, 2006. A British military helicopter crashed in a residential area and a crowd of Iraqis cheered and threw stones at British forces who raced to the scene to close off the area.
Care to comment liberals, or are you cheering the crash too?

Gangland Toronto - Officer Down

Reports from Windsor indicate a police officer in the border town has apparently been shot and killed and a huge manhunt has been launched for at least one escaped suspect. Details about what happened are still sketchy, but it appears just after 2pm, an officer became involved in a confrontation with two men in a convenience store parking lot. A clerk says she heard several loud bangs, then looked outside to see one man on the ground. “She saw two young men out in the parking lot,” explains Patty Handysides of Chum Radio’s CKLW. “She didn't realize at first they had guns. Next thing she knew, she heard two shots. She looked out. She saw a man shooting back at the kids. “He was bleeding profusely from the face, from the mouth area and then the two young men fled, one with a gun in his hand… "The man fell to the ground with a badge and other police material on him falling out. She says he was in plain clothes and then was not moving after that.”Hours after the crime, his body remained under a tarp and hadn't been taken away. Other officers rushed to the area and took two young men into custody about 40 minutes later. They're said to be between 18 and 22 years old. But a third armed man who may have been involved fled the scene into an industrial area and authorities in Windsor have launched an intense search to find him.

Another Kennedy, Another Crashed Car, Another Addiction

WASHINGTON - Rep. Patrick Kennedy (news, bio, voting record) said Friday he was entering treatment for addiction to prescription pain medication, a decision made after a highly publicized car crash near the Capitol that the congressman said he cannot recall. Kennedy, who has struggled with addiction and depression, said he had checked into the Mayo Clinic over the Christmas holidays and returned to Congress "reinvigorated and healthy." "Of course, in every recovery, each day has its ups and downs, but I have been strong, focused and productive since my return," Kennedy said.

Admit it, libs, this is funny - another drunk Kennedy crashed his car, too bad there was no dead female intern in the trunk - for a happy ending ... oh, well

Zarquawi video outtakes released

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The U.S. military command Thursday released previously unseen images of a video purportedly posted by al-Qaida in Iraq's leader, showing him decked out in American tennis shoes and unable to operate his machine gun. Authorities also said 31 "foreign fighters" had been killed since April and 161 al-Qaida in Iraq leaders were killed or captured since January, seriously undercutting the group's logistical abilities.

You will rot and die in prison, Moussai

U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema told Zacarias Moussaoui 'you will die with a whimper,' never allowed to speak publicly again, as she sentenced him to life in prison...
I think it is a wise decision, executing this piece of human waste would make him a martyr - so it's a good call - he will be forgotten and die in loneliness and unknown to anyone
Enjoy the prison showers, Zacarias - Allah won't save you there.

$ 95 MILLION DOLLARS FOR THIS ?!

First, let me jam an icepick into my eye - AGHAAA!!, ok, better ... now to the story

NEW YORK (Reuters)- Picasso's 1941 portrait of his mistress, "Dora Maar with cat," sold for an astounding $95 million at Sotheby's on Wednesday, becoming the second most expensive painting in auction history. The vibrant, large-scale work depicts Maar, the surrealist photographer Picasso was romantically involved with for a decade, seated in a chair with a small cat perched on the back. It had been expected to sell for upwards of $40 million, but the winning bid of $95,216,000, including commission, caught even Sotheby's officials by surprise. "I was hoping for 70-plus," said David Norman, Sotheby's co-chair of Impressionist and modern art, after the sale. "We thought it was worth more, and we were right." Even Tobias Meyer, the usually unflappable auctioneer, admitted he was surprised when the bidding passed $65 million. "The energy in the room was incredible," he said. "There's just a very clear, strong demand for the kind of intense painting with an emotional pull that the Picasso represents; things that are made for our times,"
Given a less-than robust economy, Norman said he was "surprised, thrilled and grateful," at the sale's result "but I wasn't expecting a poor sale. We knew there's a tremendous pool of money out there," he said. The auction of Impressionist and modern art brought in a total of $207,564,800, it's third highest sales figure ever, Sotheby's said.

Didn't Picasso once drew a painting called "tasteless doodles"? .... point is - I understand 5 - 10 mill., but $ 95,000,000 - unless it's a money laundering operation someone has way too much money and time on their hands - c'mon, especially if it was a liberal who bought it - don't you people have starving people in Africa to feed? One can buy a mansion (scrap that), a castle in the south of France, and more Ferraris and Lamborginis than color variations in this ugly painting ... I just don't understand people who spend that kind of money on a piece of canvas.

One Brave Arizona Sheriff Puts Up a Fight

(CBS 5 NEWS) - Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio announced Tuesday that about 100 volunteer posse and Sheriff's deputies will soon begin randomly patrolling the desert areas and main roadways in southwest Maricopa County as apart of an operation to stem the flow of illegal aliens entering the county. Arpaio made the announcement just as 11 more illegal aliens were being booked in jail after a Ford Windstar with California plates and 16 people packed inside was stopped by a Sheriff's deputy early Tuesday morning on a traffic violation near Gila Bend. Despite the growing controversy about illegal aliens nationwide, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office remains the only Arizona law enforcement agency willing to enforce a new state anti-smuggling law. "There are so many illegals trying to make it into the county that it's overwhelming my deputies, so I have called on members of my 3000 member volunteer posse to assist," says Sheriff Arpaio. "It's not only illegals we find and arrest out there, we've also made some recent huge drug seizures involving illegal aliens including nearly 100 pounds of methamphetamine and approximately three pounds of heroin." Posse member Andrew Ramsammy, who was part of Tuesday's arrest team, says that he believes he represents many of his peers when he says that the posse is anxious to be a part of the Sheriff's solution to the immigration problem. "As a group of law abiding people, we are fed up with the number of people who come into this county illegally. We're tired of the drugs that some of them bring to sell to our young people and we're ready and willing to assist the Sheriff's deputies in the fight against illegal immigration," says Ramsammy. Sheriff Arpaio says Tuesday's arrests include two coyotes, one of whom may be charged with a far more serious offense - endangerment. Virgilio Parra Sabori may face a class 6 felony charge if it is determined that he recklessly left one of his customers to die in the desert. That customer, who may have paid as much as $1100 to gain entrance into the country, was a 24-year-old Mexican male found near death by deputies who combed the desert earlier Tuesday after being told by other people in the vehicle that one man was left behind. That young man was found lying in the sun on the desert floor and is currently in serious condition in a west valley hospital. Arpaio says his deputies so far have made seven anti-smuggling cases in the last few weeks alone and that 120 illegals have been arrested and jailed. Arpaio houses 10,000 prisoners in his jails, including almost 2000 in a tent city he erected in 1993. Tent City is being expanded to hold an anticipated increase

We all missed leafblowers on May 1st, 2006

LOS ANGELES - Illegal immigrants and their supporters vowed to keep up the pressure on Congress for reforms after more than 1 million people stepped out of the shadows and poured into the streets in a nationwide show of economic clout.
From Los Angeles to Chicago, Houston to Miami, a "Day Without Immigrants" Monday meant a day boycotting work and school in favor of rallies and marches with waves of red, white and blue filling streets for miles.
The boycott was organized by immigrant activists angered by federal legislation that would criminalize an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants and fortify the U.S-Mexico border.
While some businesses suffered, the marches were festive — despite divisions among activists who argued a boycott would alienate federal lawmakers.
In all, police departments and local officials in more than two dozen U.S. cities contacted by The Associated Press gave crowd estimates that totaled about 1.1 million marchers.
Two major rallies in Los Angeles attracted an estimated 400,000, according to the mayor's office. Another 400,000 marched through Chicago's downtown business district, police estimated. The list was long: As many as 30,000 in Houston, 50,000 in San Jose, 30,000 more across Florida. From New Mexico to Tennessee to Massachusetts, smaller rallies attracted hundreds more.

That's right illegal immigrant supporters - let's allow possible Al Queda members, drug cartel hitmen, and bunch of welfare parasites stay - great, and turn U.S. into a slum - real patriots you guys are.
Oh, AND WHY AREN'T DEPORTATION CAMPS RUNNING ON 24 /7 SCHEDULE?

Madonna is insane (as if it wasn't obvious already)

Madonna radically altered her music to attack US President George W Bush during her appearance at California music festival Coachella, yesterday. The Hung Up singer thrilled fans with a six-song set in the Sahara Dance Tent, and took a cheeky swipe at the US leader by changing her song lyrics. During an energetic rendition of her song I Love New York, Madonna roared, "Just go to Texas and suck George Bush's d**k."

Can we extradite her to England? Cause this old insane grandmother overstayed her welcome in U.S.
